This short documentary changed my life, everything about it speaks to my soul. I can't wait to learn Judo and discover the culture and people of Japan. Ossu!
My whole young life in the late 60s to late70s...this was my plan. I chose another for a life in music instead, although I remain a Judoka in my old mind.
Fascinating documentary. Very inspirational! especially the end. How much could a man ask for? I will follow up by researching more about Mr. Rodgers and Mr. Kimura Thanks for the video!!!
@TheGreaterGood80 i agree, also the most dangerous in my opinion, i mean one of these throws done on someone who dont know how to land, and on concrete would hurt a lot, may even break bones, and then from that, go into an armbar, or a strangle, but i doubt you'll need too, the best thing to do in self defence is get away fast, one throw can even kill if they land on their head and its on concrete, hell even if it isnt on concrete and they dont know how to land, they could break their neck
Thank you so much for loading this up... Great documentary and what an honor to have trained with such people!
Bad ass
"My teacher is the best that ever was..." - What an amazing way to end this fantastic documentary!

Misora Hibari
@@valleyislemouse that's the song at the end, I don't think Doug is singing a Misora Hibari song.
