    Thank you very much for this! You are probably the first RUclips user to upload a video related to structural analysis for solar design structures. Many years ago, none of this information has been available online to learn and study this particular subject on structural design. But thanks to you it is now a reality for me. I really want to thank you for this. I just beg you not to leave RUclips and never delete these videos because I will need them in the future! You have motivated me to go back to structural design because I failed as a civil engineer but I have made a successful career in the solar energy industry as a solar designer and currently as a master's degree student in renewable energies. With this information, I am sure I can rescue my failed career as a civil engineer who was interested in structural design. THANK YOU!!!!!

    What informed your decision to use the open structure wind design from ASCE 7-16 instead of the specific section detailing design provisions for wind loads on solar panels?

      The specific section pertains only to rooftop sites. However, the approach I have explained and used is a generic one and can be applied to both rooftop and ground solar structures and it is easy to understand.
