    Hey! You can also tick the "use first row as column names" when linking the google sheet and you can recreate the graphics on horizontal, on your second row. and then just hide them or something. your only worry when linking the data would be to select the 1st row (which is going to be the second one in sheets, since the first is used for column names) if that's making any sense. still use your design, but just to throw in numbers while linking them gets a lot easier. it's useful when you have a dynamic project where you need to constantly add stuff. Great video! thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    I've created a graphics package and linked a data source, is there a way of exporting all the data linked graphics so someone can import into their own show they're doing elsewhere? Thanks.

    Hello! Thank u for all ur guides! But i have one question. Maybe u can help me. How did u connect ur pc folders with google sheets? when i do concatinate in vmix the images don't show up (just black screen). although the names and folders are exactly the same. maybe the images need to be uploaded somewhere to the cloud?

    • @atroooix
      @atroooix  Год назад

      Make sure that the name of your fields on the sheet is the same as your image names, for example if you have a player called POTATO, it must be called POTATO.png, and the concatenate function must also add a backslash at the end of it so it should look something like” CONCATENATE(“C:\User\Desktop\”,”POTATO”,”.png”)

    I'v been thinking what if I have rows of info with hardcoded image links and text, like 50 rows, I know the number of the row I want to show, is it possible to do it using an streamdeck and excel?

    • @atroooix
      @atroooix  Год назад

      Yeah definitely possible, you can select data rows on vMix - try look up anything to do with “DATA ROW” on companion and go from there. It’s how I did scoreboards that displayed 1-10 and then 11-20 on the same graphic with the press of a button

    Is this in place of using paid services, or is this how it is done in the industry? Also, as you build your infrastructure, how much of this do you have to do for each event say if it is the same sport? Is it modular for your production, or is most of the groundwork done? Or do you do most of this every event?

    i get file not found error while importing psd in GT if there is any text layer in psd, else works fine. is there solution to get rid of?

    • @atroooix
      @atroooix  Год назад +1

      Make sure that there are no folders in your photoshop file and everything is resterized (unless it's text) and it should work - if that doesn't, then you might have to manually add the text on GT Title designer using the text tool - you will achieve the same outcome however it will be a little more time consuming but worth it.

    • @hygiene9255
      @hygiene9255 Год назад

      @@atroooix there's no group and everything is resterized still it's happening, however GT's text tool sucks, it's not that good and time consuming. I don't know what's the reason for the error 😭
      Additionally, i can import psd if there's no text layers there.

    • @atroooix
      @atroooix  Год назад +1

      @@hygiene9255 Hmm, not sure then - never had that happen. Double check if any of the text has any effects on it such as drop shadows, make sure it's just raw text - and then try potentially making a new file with just text and some shapes on it to see if it's just the graphic you have that's causing issues

    • @hygiene9255
      @hygiene9255 Год назад +1

      @@atroooix i just added plain text without layer styles and non of other layers, only single text layer in whole psd, still the issue remains 😭😭

    Hey boss, i wonder if API based of overlay or graphic/data also used this same technique ?

    • @atroooix
      @atroooix  Год назад

      Hey there - this is possible to do, I actually run a custom League of Legends HUD using this method, however instead of data linking from a google sheet - I link the data to a text file which gets updated with data. You can do this via different methods, but you are fully correct. I'll make a video on this in the near future :)
