I always had a little trouble using the hose end sprayers. I did a flow test and found that I empty a 20 gallon hose end bottle in two 5 gallon buckets. I bel;ieve that means I am spraying twice as much spray as I need. So I believe I need to cut the amount in the bottle by half. For me a 20 gallon bottle is a 10 gallon bottle?
I had the same question! Directions on my Jerry Baker Sprayers "Mixture Example" says if the product calls for 1T per Gal and you want 4 Gal you put in 4T and fill with water to the 4Gal mark. The correct colored sprayer top (I suspect) regulates the rest.

so if filled to the 26 oz mark, it is 26 oz per gallon of water?

i have low pressure i water from a well would it affect the mixture ratios to run this off lower than normal pressure?
