@@majicogarcia8417 I don’t know about boring but… I’m definitely a skeptic. Two mechanics really stand out to me as a bad idea but, gotta wait and see.
The only thing that sucks about this GF is that Mena used Luke. That character is so out-of-place in SFV; would've been cooler to see Birdie or Sakura. But I think both of them prob have bad MUs against Bison so I understand the choice otherwise. At points it looked like Zhen figured things out vs. last time they fought, but Mena was quick to adapt and surprise Zhen more than a few times. Very well-played GF by the best Luke & best Bison, and congrats to Mena for the big W!
He did use Birdie against EnderWalker. Either Ed is a legit counter to Puke or something in the way EnderWalker plays the match up made Mena switch characters.
It would've been nice if zhen had an alternate character with faster buttons and walk speed. The main weapon he had was that bisons HP had good range. The problem is he went against a character with practically all normals having good range.
I'll admit, I simply fell in love with Zhen and Endingwalker in this tournament and I just wanted one of them to win. I have to give props to MenaRD, and I don't know enough about SF5 to know if the luke pick was an absolutely necessary counterpick, but after the majority of that capcom cup's matches, the luke pick certainly just made it feel like a disappointing safely played end to an INSANE top 8. I just really wanted to see Zhen's absolutely insane Bison mastery overcome such a good player using the same big stinky meta character everyone else dominated with. Like you'd think he faced enough lukes to overcome that, but oh well, I think we will see a vengeful return for SF6. This tournament overall told me that MenaRD is PROBABLY the best at SF5, but DEFINITELY Luke is the best character.
The most methodical Bison play I have ever seen and Mena was still not to be denied. I think criticism of him playing Luke is silly. We watched every other Luke fall, including people who Mained Luke longer than Mena. Mena plays every character with enough skill to be in top 8 in any given tourney. His skill won this and not the character. Any other Luke would have been washed by Zhen''s play.
Bison kept going for the same follow up moves even I read his arse, so Mena punished where he could. A mix of nerves and resorting to old habits, but at least he can say he got second plus some cash. Finally some amazing matches from SFV-its been a while for me
Mena is too good. He exploited the best character in the game unlike anyone else, and got into the opponent's head every single time. I saw people calling out him for mashing but this isn't some gold lobby; he knew EXACTLY when to reversal based on zhen's desperation to be on the offensive. His CA after bison's axe, which was a shallow hit that both players knew couldn't combo in, was such a great call and THE most decisive moment since Zhen would have gone 2-1 Kudos to the guy. I loved that he said he grew to love and care for the FGC. Zhen too is a beast of a player
The Dominican Republic's success with SF mirrors Pakistan's success with Tekken. Weird how both communities have reacted differently to "unknown" nation's success. Both had bit of drama with Caba's antics at tournaments and Ash's on Twitter but I've found SF more welcoming than Tekken's.

Hours of training and pizza with soda finally paid off. He also acquired super saiyan chubby 5 too, congrats!
That Union Train Station theme is insanely good
He is great player, Still remember this guy beat my idol Tokido years ago…
Congrats to BLG/ZHEN for making it to the finals with one of my favorite SFV characters to play with and watch.
Somos duros en todo 💪🏾🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
I think it is necessary to main more than one character in SF5. Menard did well because he mainining several characters and counterpick opponent.
Character loyalty is bogus
@@chc2650it definitely isn’t but people do definitely give it way too much value
@user-WY1ET9DK9W Which are the best Street Fighter V characters for you?
Zhen got rhe 1st place, once playing against Luke we don't have a fair fight. Luke players are not having fun but play for the prize. It's a shame!!!
Excuses LOL
