I run this type of business but with a 20ft box truck. I’ve done this for 6 years the best thing to do is post for stuff like furniture delivery, junk removal, hot shot delivery, moving residential homes, also a bread route is very profitable also if you get in the with right company. Next door neighbor is great free site, thumbtack and Angie’s is another great way to get yourself out there. Be your own boss and remember it sometimes takes little bit of money in order to make even more more money X times over.
Turning down work is a no no when you building your business it’s no days off, you actually have no free time when working for yourself especially in the beginning
I agree, but turning down work may be a no no to some people, but not me. I will not do anything I don't want to do, that's not smart at all. You should love what you are doing.
I couldn’t agree more with being your own boss, 9-5s will definitely burn you out. Everything you shared was spot on, stay positive, motivated, and continue to be blessed.
You’re on point with what you stated in this video. I just read a study this morning about the gig companies. It stated: 1. They create an Illusion of Flexibility, 2. They pushed The Myth of Being Your Own Boss, 3. They create a vicious cycle of Job Insecurity and Financial Instability. 1. Drivers are not really flexible because the best pay is during surge, peak, and rush hours which is set by the company. 2. Drivers are not their own bosses because the companies use rating systems, algorithmic management, and behavioral nudges to control and manage the drivers. 3. Many gig workers live job to job, paycheck to paycheck, with no guarantees of a steady income. It sounds like you’re headed in the right direction: get your private clients, then scale up. Drive safely! 🙏🏽
God Bless you and your family brother! Truly inspirational and very motivating. I’m in the process of starting myself. Seeing your videos definitely gives me some light at the end of the tunnel. 🙏🏼 Carlos NYC
Everybody's story and journey is different. Keep motivating us bro. Sometimes it may feel like you're just spinning the wheel, but at the end of the day that's the hardest part. Gotta keep moving. Respect Appreciate you brother

No Sir it's definitely not easy but it does get easier the longer you are Independent always put money aside for slow days and U can still keep growing ur business and keep growing and God bless 🙏 & Yes I've been thanking every 📷 I've always tell the customer Thank you but never the camera 📷 thanks for the up
Quick question, im in your area so we know there is one “hotspot” with dispatch. Have you noticed any better luck getting loads the closer you are? I ask because I’ve been right in the middle but sometimes I’ll get some right by me in the industrial park but then get sent to NB, Elmendof, etc etc just as often. Thoughts?
I used to park in the middle of the city, but it's a waste of time and gas. I wait to get an order out of my house, and then I just get orders by chance. Orders come out all parts of town, so a lot is by chance. I will say the Eastside tends to be the busiest based on my experience.
@@BigCJCargoVan I tend to park at the target near the airport but agree with you, I’d get sent back around the house or farther. Seems like a waste to park in the center of town just to get sent back the other way for pick ups. Thank you sir really appreciate the content and reply’s.
Hey I’m new to the channel, I’ve been following for about a week now. Did you pay off your car BEFORE you got your cargo van? That’s the bond I’m in right now while also tryna get that 800 credit score like you had when you bought your van
Welcome, appreciate you. I moved to Texas from California over 3 years ago. When I sold my house, I used some of the money to pay off both of my cars. When I purchased my van, both cars were already paid off. I never want more than 1 car payment.
@@BigCJCargoVan yes sir. I definitely just needed confirmation about that. Because I thought the same, I have one car note. Soon as I pay it off, it’s a GO
Keep grinding bro look for more contracts I know you have a wife and kids but if you want more money you gotta put in more hours a day it's better to put in 12 to 15 hrs 5 days a week working for yourself than working for someone else
bro you need to work on getting 100% from the va and usethe extra cash to employ someone … with a new van .. you may not want to give up your time but remember someone will and you have the capital
Been fighting for a higher rate for over a year now. I did get a 20% increase, which back paid me 12k. I'm still working to get to the hundo club. Not interested in hiring a driver at this time, I have trust issues, so that will be down the road.

Right I been doing this for two years now and I still barely take days off until I build more to my arsenal
New to the channel do you ever work the load board as well??
I did when I first started. I don't like bidding and the insurance requirements. I'm sticking to local gig work only.
Thank you Big CJ, i appreciate all of the excellent info you are sharing.

Is there a way to see loads in close large cities to monitor if you can get a load back if you decided to increase your delivery radius?
Just on loadboards, gig apps don't get you loads back. 1 way trip.

No contracts for me as I stated in the video, I don't want a contract route. Appreciate the info tho
How many miles did you put in your car since you started cargo van business?
About 30 as of now. Very low miles driven
@@BigCJCargoVan30K miles and you didn’t make any real money. Bro, you are a joke!!!! What a Loser
I make over 10k per month, I'll be a loser
