Gap insurance is to cover the difference in what you owe on your loan compared to what your insurance company actually values the vehicle at. If you were to total out the vehicle in a wreck, but owe more than what it's worth, then the gap insurance covers the difference. Gap insurance is only valuable in the early part of the loan. Once you start owing less than the value of the vehicle, then the gap insurance is a waste of money. You can also get gap insurance cheaper from your provider versus the rate that the dealership gives you. Even after you sign up with gap insurance through the dealer, you can get it from your provider and cancel what you got through the dealership.
The last part was a real gold nugget of info. His authority is building up over time, and whenever he feels like switching/doing otr, itll look better in their eyes since hes had it active for a good while. So he only has minimum commercial insurance to keep authority active, smart.
Yeah. That Sold sign is very important. It's a keepsake marking a pinnacle in your life. That's a huge mountain you've had to climb. Seeing that transition helps all your viewers including me. Wonderful growth sir!
Bro. Do your videos however YOU want bro. Anybody that don’t like it can keep scrolling. Salute to you and your fam for the content. You’ve helped me a lot. Keep going brother!
Keep an eye on your evap purge sensor the one in the engine, symptoms of a failing sensor the tank says full but you know it half empty, the needle moves up and down, after fueling the engine will not turn over also cuts out while your'e driving. They were making defective sensors.
Gap insurance covers the cost of the depreciated value of your van vs. your loan amount. So, if you get hit by a car and it totals your van, you might only get 30k from your insurance to replace/reimburse you. Even though your loan is higher. Gap insurance literally fills the gap. IMHO, I'd add it back because $6-7 extra a month is worth it. Especially in SA. where there are a lot of uninsured peeps driving around. With all that being said, glad everything is going well.😎
Thank you for clarifying that, I've been hit 2 times by hit and run drivers out here. Appreciate the info, love this platform, I learn so much from everyone 👍🏾
The wall panels are there to provide a more finished look as opposed to a bare metal interior that burns you in the summer and freezes you in the winter. And like you said it helps prevent damage to cargo too. Also keeps dust and dirt out of the millions of crevices. I bought my van without the interior panels but regret it. The paint gets scratched and dinged pretty easy.
Videos are top tier and I don't mind watching 40+ minutes for knowledge, I would just suggest sectioning the videos so someone with a specific question can get to that part, might improve viewer experience and in turn improve your likes and watches. STAY UP BIG CJ!
I've been researching the 3 big vans and ford definitely seems like the most reliable. Ram the worst. I did see a video where the dude points out a few major transit problems. Biggest was a drain tube from the wiper area under the windshield into the engine compartment. Drips water right on the PCM electronics under the hood. Major design flaw I guess Comments suggest running a tube to re route the drain, prevent damage. Maybe look into it, save repair cost. Great channel & intro.
Thank you for the video. You included all the information I needed that almost every other video is lacking. I'm mainly looking for a van for construction purposes but if I can find one that allows for shipping and expediting I may as well get a van that allows for as many income opportunities as possible.
Thats absurb that anyone making fun of someone business. Thats your business , not somebody to hurt somebody's business . Good luck to you and looking out for your son.
If you were starting over again, knowing that you'd only be doing gig apps, what vans would you consider? Would you consider the midsize vans like Ford Transit Connect & RAM ProMaster City? Or stay standard size cargo and get something older with more miles?
Honestly, bigger is always better because the connects are cheaper, but they can't handle as much weight. I probably would have still purchased a med roof ford transit 250, but a used one around 15 to 20k. I had 20k to start so I would have paid cash for it. If I was going to do gig apps only with no goals of doing my own thing, ford transit 150 with low roof works fine for gig apps only. I don't like the Promaster and can't afford sprinter van. Ford Transit all day. You can definitely get away with a connect, but just know you would be limiting yourself on the type of loads you can get because of the weight.
@@BigCJCargoVan thanks CJ that’s true the smaller cargo vans would be limiting opportunities. Plus in the used marked they are close in price. I ended up going with a full size Promaster. Gotta get some equipment now…if you have any affiliate links to products you use, I’ll be happy to buy through you. Thanks for the content man
Great video glad that you were transparent in the community about your intentions and usage of the. Van. Im personally looking in the 25k range and below with low milage to start my regional services. I love yall content creators
For those wondering the Promaster is the equivalent of the Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Relay and Fiat Ducato here in Europe. All sister models sharing the same platforms and they are known to have mechanical issues after many miles of hard driving. Not very reliable
I've heard that from so many people. I know they can be a little more affordable, but definitely don't want to deal with too much maintenance problems starting off
Bro the temperature is in the triple digits in your neck of the woods and you're going with a fan and windows down, what are you trying to do get heat stroke?
Lol, hey I still have a little Army blood in my vains, I don't think it's that hot like most people, been in 120 degree weather for 13 months over seas in full gear, this ain't nothing 😅
Great video i agree on not buying the expensive van for gig apps i bought a 2019 ram promaster so far it's been good no problems with it but i also wanted to do expediting but I've only been doing local apps so now i want to buy a cheaper van cash and save my miles on the promaster for when i do go otr
in this days ford is almost same price that the sprinter... its crazy. i love ford but is hard to find new and price is so high. For pay 60k for the ford i will go for a Mercedes Sprinter

So I had pre approval, So Yes I was able to refi at purchase. The process was easier for me to finance with the dealer then refi with my bank rather than pay dealer directly with check from the bank. Had no issues at all.
Say if you owe 40,000 on the vehicle and God forbid getting into a wreck. The insurance company may value that vehicle by Kelley Blue Book at 30,000. Gap insurance covers that 10,000. So that you’re not coming out of pocket.

Awesome video man and thanks for sharing your experience, just one question you have mentioned that you want to get more vehicles in the future, so long term do you want to go OTR or stay local?
Appreciate your support as always. Yes I do want to be a fleet owner. I want 3 to 4 vehicles, 2 for Otr, which I plan on putting drivers in. Then myself and one other driver will stay local with hopefully a contract route. That's the plan right now, but that could always change.
You need to submit an application on the tsa 419f form. I filled out my application through Jumpp Logistics since they are the courier company that provide the tsa pickups. They submitted my application to tsa for me. It's good for a year once you clear tsa background and change 8 training. They will issue you a sta number. You should be able to type that form into the search box. If not you may need to contact them tsa.gov so they can direct you.
You should have kept the gap insurance. What it does is if you wreck your and total it. , your insurance is not gonna pay what you financed it for if your wreck your van. The gap insurance pick up the rest of the cost your insurance doesn't pay so you can pay off your loan.
