This video tutorial will show how to tie a Two-Bight Turk's-Head lanyard using about 5.5 feet of 550 paracord. The Turk's Head part of the knot is described in 'The Ashley Book of Knots', knot #595. I added the lanyard knot and loop on the end to make it useful as a lanyard. The actual time it took me to make the lanyard, from start to finish, was under 20 minutes, but I edited the video down to 10 minutes. The time consuming parts are making additional passes and then tightening up and working the slack out of the knot. Knot responsibly.
A great site to visit, for those interested in knot work, is Knot Heads World Wide: www.khww.net *The website is gone, but there is an active KHWW Facebook group. *The Facebook group has been switched over to 'Private' by the admin this year(2015), so it is no longer publicly viewable, and I do not know if or when that might change or if any new members are being accepted. IGKT.net has knot info and forums for resources and learning.
Another to learn from is Animated Knots by Grog: www.animatedkno...
