NS 4001 "Blue Mane" leads the Triple Crown & NS 181 gave a salute & wave on June 21, 2024

While following todays NS 181, I saw it came to a stop on the siding outside of Chapin. I was interested to see what he was waiting for. To my surprise it was a NS 256 Triple Crown, beimg led by NS 4001 "Blue Mane unit." After it passed, NS 181 then continued west and I got a horn salute and wave!!

I dig the blue look on the NS locomotive. Also, triple crown roadrailers are one of the coolest looking trains you can see. In my younger days, I lived in Raymond Illinois and would see triple crown roadrailers going through that town on the former Wabash line.
