You know, you've just come back from some incredible, amazing places. But, your place is just as beautiful in it's own way. What a gorgeous piece of land you have and in any season. Each season I'm sure is unique there as it is here in the Mts. of NC. As for the mice, we just had a bout with them and we too live in a cabin in NC. Tried all kind of stuff to get rid of them. Even have a cat and a dog. But along about August, I looked outside on my window ledge and I see this starving little kitten I'm guessing maybe a month old but still quite small. I fed her some tuna and she's been mine ever since. Part of the family now. BUT strangely, even tho we had another cat, this one turns out is a mouser. Within a week or two of having her, no more mice. I don't know what or how she does it, and I don't think they just coincidentally left when she showed up. I have no idea where she came from but I guess even tho she was young, she somehow fed herself by hunting which would be a cat thing anyway. Anyway, you two have a very Merry Christmas and I hope the new year brings you continued joy and happiness! ❤❤🎵🎵

Rodent Barriers are key to wilderness success. Metal sheets are best though periodic baiting works also. I have experienced log cabins in Ontario where the mice penetrant the log walls. I had a prefab double wide in Arizona where rats nested in the floors in such numbers to heave the floor. Baiting removed the problem.
A good spray bottle, And some -40 windshield washer fluid, would make the solar panel cleaning easier. Spray it on and just wait for the snow to disolve.

We have a mouse that shows up occasionally in our enclosed back porch. Tried a few things to keep it out, none of which worked. Finally gave up, named the mouse Hermione, now it’s a pet of sorts. So it goes.😊

Your video makes me feel like I'm back there myself)) Be very careful with mice - do not touch their nests or their food with your hands! Only wear gloves and a mask and carefully sweep or use a vacuum cleaner. Wash your hands often - while you are away they are running everywhere on all surfaces in the house! Mice can cause a very serious disease - mouse fever!!! Therefore, be extremely careful and wash your hands often. All utensils you use should be locked in some kind of metal box that a mouse cannot get into. Well, your supplies - cereals, pasta, also in a box that your “guests” will not have access to.
I have put a resetting mouse trap in my camper, it had six in it the first week, also I watched a RUclips Zen garden oasis; he has a lot of useful video's, one on making a mouse bait with baking soda and jiffy corn muffin mix that works very well
