I graduated from high school in 1981. I assure you those awful musical arrangements were not the theme music of the 80s. Yuck.
Oh, WOW, I JUST saw the 1981 VHS cover of this on Ebay when I was just checking out the line of Walt Disney Home Video tapes that were put out then and I HAD to check it out just from the cover ALONE. WELL WORTH IT! That singing in the beginning and the narrator...LOVE IT SO MUCH! BUT WHY MUST IT BE FORTY YEARS AGO, WHY?!?!?!?! This is yet another video making me wish I was born in 1968 so I could have gone in 1984 instead of having to go twenty years later...even 1978 so I could've gone in 1994...! And hey, that awesome Walt Disney Home Video promo, shout out to Yesterworld and his equally awesome video about the history of the company because he used bits from it! I love Watcher in the Woods, Absent-Minded Professor, and Shaggy Dog!
This was made a couple of years before the EPCOT center opened, so this video was dated shortly after, but still a fun look at the resort prior to EPCOT's opening. (And since EPCOT opened, followed by Disney Hollywood Studios, Downtown Disney and the Animal Kingdom, it's gotten even more popular and magical.)

the it's a small world scene is filmed in 1964
The Pirates of the Caribbean footage is also from the Disneyland version's opening in 1967, and you can see it includes the arsenal explosion sequence which isn't in Florida. Disney had a habit of using older stock footage where and when they could get away with it.
