Love the fact that you're in a job now that brings you joy. I did a similar thing by quitting the office life and now working with children. It makes me SO happy so I can really relate to this. Pleased for you!!

I used to do the exact same job and also loved it, i had to give it up purely due to it being so low paid and couldn’t live- otherwise I always say if I could do 1 job again forever it would be SEN support! I am looking to do it on the side with my daily job now cos I miss it so much. So happy for you and congratulations 🩷

It is great that you're interested in working with children with ASD/ learning disabilities. Have you thought about retraining to become a speech and language therapist/ or becoming a speech and language therapy assistant ! xx

Hi, congratulations on the new job ❤ as an autistic adult I just wanted to let you know saying things like “ severe autism “ can be quite damaging language. In the same way if someone is pregnant at 1 months vs 9 months they are no more or less pregnant. Just pregnant, regardless of if one is more obvious than the other.
I know you don’t mean it in a negative way atall, just wanted to let you know it can create a stigma towards people who don’t display high support needs. ❤
