That's crazy, I met him when I was a little girl in an airport lounge. My stepdad talked to him forever and said what a "lovely man" he was. Needless to say that narcissistic abusers are typically so charming in front of others. My stepdad abused us as children, but you would never guess it because he also had that charm while around others. Some people truly are wolves in sheep's clothing.

No conversation can be long enough if someone is caressing your ego. Narcissists love that. It's an ego trip. They can listen for ages when they are grooming someone since they are studying the subject (soon to be treated like an object) in order to copy and paste the victim and mirror him/her.

I’m happy to report that I once met Brooke’s current husband He was out with their daughters (this was when they were still little). It was just the three of them (and myself) and we were all standing outside under some trees in a courtyard area outside waiting for this little restaurant in Brentwood for dinner; I assume they were waiting for Brooke. After a few minutes of watching him engage happily with them I told him what beautiful daughters he had. He smiled and graciously thanked me, he had no pretense. Therefore what I gleaned from my 5 minutes in his vicinity is that he seemed like a DOWN TO EARTH GUY, a GREAT DAD and a GENUINELY NICE MAN.
You chose well Brooke. You deserve it!

The last time was about fifteen years apart and she looked right into my eyes and said,” we’ve met before!” She recalled meeting but not remembering what we said, and it took a couple guesses but she even remembered my name! Meeting millions of people in her life and that’s how truly kind she is, she remembered my name❣️

sometimes avoiding people that seek out people who are like brooke - which are kindhearted and innocent( too trusting) is very hard to avoid. this is why people who take to creating laws that allow people to abuse [their much desired] power or adult hood (authority)towards anyone in direct contact of someone who they feel they can [abuse.] - comes down to [Predatory] behaviour. they realise they need to catch their prey first - THEY LEARN TO APPEAR KIND AND TRUSTING, AND MANIPULATE THEIR TTARGETS INTO BELIEVING THEIR ( THE PREDATORY) EFFORTS IS FOR THEIR( preys ) OWN GOOD. that most [preys] who have never had another decent soul looking out for them woudlnt know theyre being abused. - like her ex-husband ,and her horrible mother, as well as others who took her sweet heart for an abusive ride! they all did it out of JEALOUSLY! using her! BECAUSE she held that golden ticket! HAVING IT ALL! she is and was the ideal perfect person as sociality construct mapped out!... but see! how that plays out! pushing that IMAGE OF WHAT PERFECTION should be! all while envious that she is! You cant have it all rule! yes, you can! just aviod the nuts! which is i impossible....so they want to control it so to explain! their POSITION WITHIN THIS FOCUS OF THAT PERFECT SOUL...they MUST control the much desired CONTROL! OF BEING SEEN. SHE HELD THE DESIRE PEOPLE SEEM TO SEEK.
brooke is a powerful soul! im happy life worked out in the end , as she wanted it!
but facts. People need to stop watching others suffer! ..im glad to ,NOW, see PEOPLE really standing up for others. and claiming RIGHTS and speaking up! which she is doing! i feel, she wouldn't have done it unless the moments the world wasnt having what is now PRESENTS a fight for real rights to life . she is feeling her supportive teams from ever angle! the abused always feel some form of shamed behavior ,whether towards themselves or from others ,which keeps them from standinging firm in their power. im proud of her.

Just because women don't kill (most of the time), doesn't mean they don't cause harm. They are the ones mostly raising the kids and if they've got their unadressed issues, the next generation suffers.

It's was his wife, and she's an actress. You know, she works in the Make-Believe industry.
So for him to fly off the handle like that and overreact seems quite irrational.
However none of us were present in their marriage to see what might have led up to that point. Perhaps their marital problems had escalated, and he simply reached his boiling point, and this innocent scene just lead him to overreact.

I dated a control freak like that. All the signs like Brooke’s were there previously but it took for him to try to strangle me to death for me to realise that everything my friends had been saying about him was true and that he had brainwashed me into thinking his actions were always correct and normal behaviour and I was just stupid and always wrong. I’m lucky through quick thinking I survived that night and since then I’ve recounted the story of that night 100s of times to other people who look on in amazement. My advice is if you get the warning signs which you know don’t feel quite right then whatever your circumstances get the hell away and out of the relationship while you can. It’s impossible to change someone so don’t stick around to try or you might be wheeled away and not walk away of you own accord .

Just as families forgive people who have killed a loved one, but can always go back to that memory.
Or if somebody made a stupid prank that hurt somebody, 30 years down the line they wouldn't feel the need to defend myself.

@@rumbum67 If she wanted to talk for healing purposes she could’ve done so years or even DECADES ago with HIM, instead she was using peoples curiosity of their relationship, and exploiting his struggles with addiction (a mental illness btw) to SELL HER BOOK. Don’t pretend this is something it’s not, I’m not naive enough to fall for that bs.
_”IF he has really claimed ownership of his bad choices…”_ First of all you’re callously making light of a serious mental illness by referring to it as “bad choices” and second of all, it’s well known that he tried to make amends and come clean about his past, in fact his book is considered by many to be one of the best celebrity autobiographies of all time, it reached #1 on The NY Times best sellers list and won numerous awards… this was nearly 20 years ago. So there’s no “if”.
*In case you intend to argue that addiction isn’t a mental illness* 👇🏽
_”According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) drug addiction is classified as a mental illness because addiction changes the brain in fundamental ways, disturbing a person’s normal hierarchy of needs and desires, and substituting new priorities connected with procuring and using drugs. The resulting compulsive behaviors that override the ability to control impulses despite the consequences are similar to hallmarks of other mental illnesses.”_
Aaaand lastly, in your _”If someone made a stupid prank…”_ analogy, you start off referring to “someone” and “they” pulling pranks and end referring to “myself” by saying _”THEY wouldn’t feel the need to defending MYSELF”_ … you’re
clearly projecting an experience of your own wherein you feel you don’t owe anyone an apology and it’s also VERY hypocritical and contradicting to essentially your entire argument of thinking he shouldn’t deny her this supposed healing… so basically others should be forced to endure people rehashing their past mistakes over and over, FOR DECADES… but you shouldn’t lol, yeah okay, sit down and 🤐. She has talked about or written about their relationship in varying degrees of detail for DECADES now _(typically when she’s promoting something)_ … at some point you just have to say “stfu already!”, they’re both remarried with kids, move on!

    • @The.Hawaiian.Kingdom
      @The.Hawaiian.Kingdom Год назад

@@rashmisinha5588 I think there’s a time & place for talking about it and healing, but when the other person is a public figure, you’re talking about it to sell a book years later, the person has made amends and you’ve publicly accepted the amends/apology and moved on, both gotten married and had kids… I think that can be in poor taste at that point.
Honestly, I also think she might secretly be upset that Andre’s book did so well, it was #1 on the NY Times best sellers list and it’s still considered one of the best celebrity autobiographies of all time… and rightfully so, I think most of us would be upset by that. To be the subject and victim of the drugs and abuse he apologizes for in his book, yet having YOIR books not do anywhere near as good, would be hurtful and upsetting, as the victim it would feel like everyone was on his side or condoning it or making light of it. She had released books prior to his, done interviews, they’d both gotten married and had kids and as F’d up as it is, I think people were kind of over it by the time she did her “tell all”… or “tell some” as the case may be.
