    Don't get me wrong, she is doing a great job. But in my opinion this is why so many Black women have traction alopecia. These styles are good for special occasions and such every once in a while,but our hair is not meant to be in that constant state of stress of being pulled so tight.

    • @alyricasheliathomas8183
      @alyricasheliathomas8183 Год назад +3

      Protective style, hmmm? As in plz y'all go natural and save the $500 from this hair do and put it on vitamins, hair enriched minerals her body needs that & it might even clear in up the acne too.
      Why our queens keep balding their clients brains when anyone with eyes can clearly see that her hairline is moving further and further back from her face to her neck. And why in the world do people sit there and allow other folks to do this to them a mystery to me. I mean it's an illusion your hair does not look good that is fake hair your actual hair is dry and damaged and you're not taking care of it but you want something or the fake hair to hold on to one day you're going to sit in the chair and only things going to work for you is a wig.
      So stop now and go back to healthiness read some books learn something from a African American dermatologist or watch some RUclips videos on healthy natural hairstyles but for God's sake stay out of this chair letting this lady snatch you bald while she pays for her Mercedes.
      The word protective styles nowadays just means adding more foolishness to the person's head and keeping their natural hair covered up or suffocated so it can't breathe it has weight on top of it and crazy harsh products instead of letting the hair be what God called it to be. I mean flowers don't need protective styling they just grow out the root of the ground and reach for the Sun. They have all the nutrients they need under the ground where they get their supply from. Every hair on your head has a blood supply and this lady is literally snatching out each one of this lady's hairs one by one.
      Sad to watch because the hairstyle isn't even justified it's not even cute on 'her'.
      After getting up from the chair she still need to go find her some hair edges to cover the front or put on a gigantic headband.
      We black women need protection from the Sun if it's burning our skin but with sunscreen! We don't need protection for our own hair - No! See that's just ignorance that keeps being spread.
      She probably would be better off just getting some locks and letting her hair grow down her back.
      So sad 😢 who will cry for all the bald edges - who will cry for all the hair in the garbage can - who will cry for low self-esteem being covered up every weekend by greedy beauticians who are making the problem worse instead of better? I went to school for cosmetology and for hair care then I certainly wouldn't be damaging myself in my business by making my clients bald headed. I will put that education into making my ladies fabulous. U heard the word!
      I like your comment but you know what I mean about " those protective styles" nowadays
      It is just an excuse for people not to take care of their hair underneath. Lazy= bald headed

    No this not good for edges no edges it's just going to do more damages further and further back this her style should have come to the front to help cover the ball spots and camouflage to fill in her bald spots and receding hairline to her face is her style does not become her at all in fact it enhances on her bald spots and her receiving edges which probably came out from braided hairstyles similar to this that I'm taking out all the follicles.

    I’ve had my hair braided twice by some one other than myself and each time it was so tight I couldn’t sleep. I don’t believe in braiding tight, glue and sew ins because it has removed too many hair lines. I crochet my own hair. Learned from Beauty Can Braid. My natural hair is down my back and I don’t braid tight. I still have a hairline too. I spend at the most $50 on my crochet hair and buy it on average every other month. Ladies don’t let anyone do things to your hair that pulls your hair from it roots. Our African ancestors did not braid like this. Neither should we.

      There is so much wrong with this hairstyle (if that's what we are going to call it). The stylist should have done so much more and made this woman more attractive or at least she shouldn't be pulling more hair out of this woman's head. I braid my own hair too. I also have thinning hair in the front of my head and I would never allow anyone to do this in my hair. You can see the client isn't comfortable with this hairstyle either. And I try not to pull it so tight. But by this hairstylist pulling this woman's hair she is adding to her hair loss. I wish my sisters would stop giving these hairstylist their money. Especially when they can see how much damage they are doing. I wish more hairstylist took the time to educate their clientele on protecting their natural hair and how to eliminate so many chemicals for the sake of beauty.

    This is very pretty, braiding skills, just skills!!! But I would have suggested something with the hair coming down, not pulled back. She already don't have a hairline, probably due to pulling her hair back a lot. I just wished she would have did something to where her hair flows down instead of back, but then again maybe the client wanted her hair pulled back???
    This lady is nice with her hands, so neat, parts straight, all the braids the same thickness or thinest. She is really good at her craft. Great job. For ppl who have thinning hairline, I think the hair dresser should suggest things they can do to either grow it back or how to make it look like you have a hairline, idk, I'm not a hair dresser, but I do have thinning hairline, but it's growing back. Using biotin, and it's really helping.

    Just MY opinion but I think this is not the right hairstyle or hair for this lady....UNLESS this is what SHE HERSELF WANTED...then it's right for HER.. I think the hair should have been of a curly or at least wavy texture and crocheted going forward to the front of her head. There are MANY ways to disguise this hairline to make it more flattering to the client. So much so that you would never be able to tell that she has no hairline. Great skillset though.👍 Just not the right hairstyle or hair for this particular client. But she is STILL beautiful.👍 Just MY humble opinion.

    • @Witchy1976
      @Witchy1976 Год назад

      Even if it was what the client wanted, its still not right for her, so that part needs to be revised. She has no hairline and just about all of her hair now starts in the middle of the head. Also, the remaining hair to the front are too tight. The better idea would've to have canouflaged the severe loss of hair. This right here ain't it.

    Love the hairstyle but definitely unhealthy i thought you were going to crochet that braid across the top. The way you have her hair will just cause he alopecia by to tight pulling. Her edges are already pulled or chemically burned out clearly. Customers like this had to do protective styles in a way that protects the edges. And not so small of braid when you do the edges. Definitely a cute style though. And nobody is ashamed of crochet styles so its always ok to show the crochet off. Maybe thick isometric french braids for her for crochet.

    Wow! That's quite an impressive job. Your weaving is top notch. However, she needs her hair to frame her face...otherwise, the style looks incredibly fake...because she has really thick hair in the back, but seems virtually bald in the front. If styled right it'd be hard to tell it's a wig!

    The braids are nice but tight to me nice work, but too bulky at the top. My opinion it's my opinion maybe had crochet more of the hair in from the top to mid ear or behind it and then sewed in the rest with that she still would have been able to style the front without to much reveling of tracks and not so bulky. It's a beautiful style nice job. I would try it myself.

    Masterful braiding/weaving. Not bulky. Lovely color. But not a good style for this client due to edge hairline loss.

    Well great job, but I see what people are saying, this why my front is gone, just a little advise, be careful on the tightening and find more safe ways to cover the front. Too far back, bring some forward

    I think the hair looks nice but I think that the front of it should have come forward to give her some Dimension across her forehead and her hairline just saying please try it

    You can see 3 to 4 inches of her edges are gone. Mine ended up the same way and at my old age they are finally coming back. I can not wait to wear braids again but I will never allow the tight styĺes around my edges again. This lady does beautiful work though and her skills are excellent.

    I must say the braids are very beautiful. But what I would have done differently is cover up that big line in the front behind the single braids. What she should have done was made that like a invisible line together all the hair together and therefore she could have worn it with a part on the side but hey that’s just my opinion
