Less than zero is one of his weaker songs in my opinion. It is too similar to save your tears which I already binged thousands of times lol
Less Than Zero is waaaaay too underrated. The extremely dark and hidden messages just carry the song, along with the contradictory upbeat tune. A song about a partner leaving the singer due to suicidal thoughts, The Weeknd expresses that he knows that it’s best that his partner were to leave him, and no matter how much he knows that he can’t be with this person because of his mental health issues, he can’t get them out of his head.
Also that acoustic guitar is just an interesting turn to a Weeknd song. I love it so much, first listen and still do to this day. It is currently my most streamed song on Apple Music, with 225+ streams from the start of the album all the way up to the time of writing this comment.

I think personally Faith is The Weeknd's best song. It combines both styles he had mastered into a cinematic experience.

I got into faith recently. I thought it was good on first listen but there was other songs that took me away like after hours, until I bleed out and hardest to love. Couldn't choose between any though. After hours is 10/10 and my favourite album of all time.

Dope! But I disagree with OFTEN being a mainstream weeknd joint. This was one of his last “edgy” pre BBTM singles. Was released as an unrelated loosey like a year before. Almost closer to Kissland era
I cant really think of a single song that really captured that era like Often. Definitely one of my most played tracks of his ever and my fave from BBTM.

My take, DIE FOR YOU is the greatest declaration of love written into a song. That's why I pick DFY as the best written Weeknd track and potentially one of the best written love songs of all time.

House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls has been my favorite song since I first heard it. When Dawn FM came out I thought How Do I Make You Love Me would top it. But now, I think this video has helped me love this title track even more.
As a fan of his since 2011 when I first heard EOS, I agree with every pick on each record except Starboy. Tears in the Rain is my absolute favorite. Love your channel Jon!

Thanks. This inspired me to do 1 for one of my favourite artists Dave.
So I started with Game Over(EP) and top 3 were how i met my ex,my 19th birthday and question time. Ultimately when it came down to it, i had never heard anything quite like question time so it took the crown for originality.
I then went to Six Paths (EP) which was also absolutely insane. It was virtually impossible, however i decided top 3 were 71,breathe and picture me. Picture me taking the crown.
Then we went to the goat's first album "Psychodrama". An absolute masterpiece and a timeless classic. People are gonna be showing this to their kids in ten to fifteen years time. Top 3 were Environment,Drama and Lesley. Drama hits different for me (don't know why) but it takes the crown. IDGAF if that gives me hate from others.
Then we have Waaitt his second album. Top 3 were: heart attack,verdansk and both sides of a smile. I'm sure i'm gonna get hate for this again but I'm gonna give this 1 to Verdansk.
For his other songs I went to Wikipedia and i thought it only right to decide between those on which he was the main artist on the discography and not a feature. I could choose between:starlight,hangman,mercury,titanium,jkyl and hyde,thiago silva,samantha,100ms,tequila,funky friday and paper cuts. Top 3 were paper cuts,funky friday and jkyl and hyde. For me the standout track was paper cuts.
So we were left with : Question Time, Picture Me, Drama,Verdansk, Paper Cuts.

BBTM: Tell Your Friends
Starboy: True Colors (might be the most controversial one, but I can't get enough of it. Sidewalks is a close runner up)
MDM: Call Out My Name
After Hours: Faith
Dawn FM: Out Of Time (Less Than Zero is great, but there's something about Out Of Time that just gets me going)
As for picking a best... That's just too difficult and my list seems to change all the time. I'll have to think about it a bit harder
