Candles!! I have three in my small kitchen, and it helped keep the kitchen warmer than the small hearter I have.
Love that kitchen nook area ...lamps in there will look lovely.. .have a look out for some smaller older looking books that are leather bound ..they'll give that cosy lived in look...and love those wall lights in the dining area...love the new lamps too very pretty and homely looking...I like all your ideas so we've got the same taste ...only videos I really look forward to are yours ..good to hear your taking time to look out for yourself and your health..

I'm addicted to lamps too, have to stop buying more but it's hard! I adore these ones you bought, would love them too.. *lynsey you don't need more lamps!* My dad hand turns wooden lamp bases and buy the parts for the electrics so I have a couple that he made. I have beautiful unique ones from charity shops, that's where I buy most of mine. I got a couple of books for Christmas on how to make lampshades, so want to learn that. Love your home 🤎

I also can’t stop buying lamps. I get so many I have to take the old ones (about six months old) to charity shops. I’d rather buy lamps than clothes or anything else. It must be an addiction. 😂

Your home is beautiful and you’re absolutely right, you should style it the way you want, the way that brings you joy. The lamps are elegant and look lovely with your style, just make sure you put those lower wattage bulbs in because I’m pretty sure 60watt is the maximum and probably 40 watt would be enough as you have the wall light above. Have you thought about a plug in socket heater for the kitchen, they’re inexpensive, heat the room quickly and I don’t think they’re too costly to run.

Hi Sheldon I live in California and I love your videos! I love your renovations and what you’ve done so far! My only suggestion is bringing in some antique or vintage pieces such as an old skinny wood bench, marble, and silver objects.Try putting a washable rug in your kitchen. Hey Sheldon, I just love your personality. You can try amber color bulbs 40 watts that will give you a very soft light that will elevate your room. Try it and let me know. Yes, lighting is so important to set the mood in the rooms. The vignette on your kitchen wall is so good! And when you changed out the books and candle, what an improvement that I wouldn’t even have looked at! I have to have tissues everywhere, and they have to be Kleenex Ultra Soft. Hi Sheldon, I don’t have a radiator in my kitchen, but I cook alot, my father in law bought me a wee cheap heater for really cold days, but find thats the only time I use it. Your kitchen is beautiful, love your styling. Looking forward to seeing what candles and stuff you put in there.🖤

I used to use smart plugs for my Christmas tree lights, "Alexa turn on red lights" bam! HOWEVER I now have Sky Broadband and can't get my smart plugs to work. From Amazon I bought a set of 3 (bought 2 sets) plugs that you just push/pull little teeth around the edge for what time you want your light to come on/off and for how long. Loved coming down to the Christmas tree lights in full razzle dazzle over Christmas !
I have 2 small rechargeable lights in my dining room that come on when you move saves faffing for light switches and my dogs can see where they're going, I have 3 going up the stairs for the dogs too!

The timers are the ones I have just purchased! I like the idea of them just coming on at certain times so when I get home etc already on and I don't have to think about them! Hopefully they work well

This may sound strange but I wouldn't worry about a radiator to much it's a small area one more thing in the way you could turn your oven on for an hour and that would heat the kitchen up just an idea ❤
That's a good idea about the oven, but be vigilant as there would be no thermostat.

I use the Kasa smart plugs on all my table lamps. They work wonderfully and I never come home to a dark house. Loved those lamps.

Hello Sheldon, about your heating in the kitchen, try portable heaters, halogen/infrared are cost effective and can be stored away when not in use.

Good Morning from your American Homebody Bestie. I just wanted to say that I love your home and your aura!!!! If I may make a suggestion, I think those lamps are Beautiful and go perfectly In your dining space, however I think if you replace the existing sconces with the longer arm with the same ones it may look better. It's not that they don't look right it's that on camera they appear to compete because the arm is more extended and compete with those Beautiful lamps you just purchased. Either way it looks 😍!!! The smart light is ‘the bulb’ not the lamp, so you can use them on any lamp. You can also buy rechargeable lightbulbs too 💋

I love seeing people style in their own way. If that's 3 items or less or more then that's cool! When it comes to styling I don't follow a rule I go more from what my head tells me! And I play around until I think it's right 🤎
