As a graduate in Nutrition, I feel obligated to say something about a fact that Jess said she eats gluten free foods. Keep in mind, it is just loving advice, please don't get offended :)
If you don't have Celiac disease or any form of gluten sensitivity/disorder or you haven't been advised by a professional to eat gluten free diet - you should not have a gluten free diet. Gluten free diet is a must for certain people on the other side it is a bad choice when it comes to healthy people who can eat gluten without problems. Not consuming gluten foods can lead to low intake of fibre and a lot of important nutrients. So if you weren't advised otherwise by a professional please eat normal, without excluding foods!
Keep in mind this comment is not meant in any bad way :) I just want to educate people to make better choices! Because gluten free diet has become modern way to live today and it is unnecessary and can have consequences! Stay healthy guys! 💜
Thank you for saying this! I have a form of gluten sensitivity and at the beginning when I was figuring out my new diet I had some nutrients deficiencies, so seeing people who just go on a gluten free diet when they don't need it makes me so frustrated, because it can have consequences. Also, I miss regular bread and pasta, so this adds to the frustration 😆
@@silviagreco3807 :) I also have gluten related disorder, unfortunately. I myself have also had few nutrient deficiencies! I have learned how to adapt my diet since I have been on this diet for 9 years already. But, yes, as I said too many people are starting gluten free diet for no reason which puts them in quite serious situation if they dont know how to adapt diet to their needs. I want more people to get right information about that!
from what I learned, there is not a human on the planet who can properly digest gluten and it can be hard on intestines as well as make you constipated and bloated whether you're intolerant to it or not.
I came here to say this, thank you. I have celiac and it’s really frustrating not being taken seriously by others/restaurants because it’s a “trend” to be gluten free. If you dont need to strictly follow this diet due to doctors recommendations/diagnosis you should not be on it period. There’s nothing trendy about the pain from my autoimmune disease and especially nothing trendy about being glutened because restaurants assume I’m doing this diet for fun.
@@Victoria-gv3qh If somethings being hard to digest or even indigestible doesn't mean it is not good for your body. Gluten, which can be found in certain types of grains can be digested just fine if you don't have gluten related disease or disorder. The thing that makes gluten indigestible is baking process otherwise, if it is not processed like that it can be digested normally. Even being indigestible after processing it it does not have negative effects on human health if you are healthy, whereas it can make you miserable & can be dangerous if you have gluten related disorder or a disease. One more thing that can make you bloated after eating grains that have gluten & be harder to digest is fibre (which is part of grains as well as any plant (fruit or vegetable)). Fibre is known to be hard on human digestive system (make u bloated & constipated) since we do not have enzyme that can properly digest it - although it was only found to have positive effects on health. Constipation (& consequently also bloating) from eating a lot of fibre you can manage by drinking a lot of water :) Any professional in a field of nutrition (if given proper education) will tell you the same :) I don't know where you learned it from but today there is a lot of false information regarding human diet, so please research more when you hear stuff like this :) That is exactly why all of this is happening, where people decide to make changes like this in their diet without a reason & without being advised by a professional :) They are putting their health at risk.
