The shot at 00:12 is the first footage I've seen from this film that actually depicts her _riding_ the broom as compared to merely holding onto it. I even asked in another comments section if it was now considered a faux pas to ride it.
She’s in her late 30s and she so convincingly played an 18 year old! That’s extremely hard to do because the voices of girls under 25 have this “youthful” quality about them that normally can’t be imitated by an older woman who’s already lost it. By Cynthia’s age women start to sound more like pre-teen boys; not necessarily a baritone pitch, but not far from it. Especially black women, for some reason. But she did it! Watching and listening to her speak in this movie, I would never guess she was even over 30, let alone approaching 40! Bravo! 👏👏👏
Another miscast to a woman 37 years old for a young girl role … and don't tell me about Idina Menzel who played the role at 32 years old. first of all the theater has very different rules from the cinema and then (be honest) Cynthia Erivo is a beautiful woman but she looks like Ariana Grande's mother!
