Hi, I'm seeing multiple websites saying that this market is on Tuesdays in Okurcalar. So I'm confused - is this market on Tuesdays and Fridays, only Tuesdays or only Fridays??
Hello CocoBeanUK, am not sure where in Okurcalar the Tuesday market is, if at all. But definitely right opposite the hotel every Friday you will see the Friday market, you just need to cross the road via the subway. Don't buy the first thing you see and don't be pressured by the market vendors. Know what price you would be happy paying and remember the quality varies from the original so be sure you buy the thing you choose and it doesn't get swapped out for another one when they bag it. By the way CocoBean, you must do an awesome hot chocolate with your CocoBean, or is it coffee?
Hi Shane, everyone in Turkey likes Euros. However I used Lira as I get better rates getting cash from cash point with clarity card. It's an all inclusive so the only things you will need the money for is buying extras, you can use Euro or Lira but if you pay by card they will be taking Euro so be careful about non sterling fees. At the markets or shopping you can use both Euro or Lira, might be able to try and knock down a little if using Lira but know your conversion rate as some round up. Hope this helps. Glad you like the videos. There are still more on the way so look out for them. As for trips, there are plenty of excursions you could do, check out my videos on Side, paragliding and Alanya catamaran. These are the trips we did, however, if you look at ministertours.com there are plenty of tours but some of them might be a bit far. If you do go to Minister tours just mention that you got the details from Tank Travel vlogs on youtube, I don't make anything but hopefully they might do a little bit better? i hv been friday market 3 years ago. Was same experience. I would not like to go again there. They all aggressive scammers. Better not to but anything from there.
