IM OLD AND RESTRICTED TO RIDING A TRIKE NOW.. YOUNG MAN THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THESE VIDEO'S SO GLAD I FOUND THIS CHANNEL SUBSCRIBED!
Trike on old dude. We will be there with you if we don't die running red lights in Brooklyn.
There is on old fella in my area who has a etrike that he rides all around. Very cool guy.
Funny how a certain sound or smell can bring back nostalgic memories. For a moment you are transported back in time to how you felt back then. Crazy!
Andrew Norris "Madeleine moments" they are called
Looks great, the bicycle infrastructure is very advanced, European level. And it will get even better. Other US cities have to do the same.
European... that usually apllies to Denmark & Netherlands, better don't come to Germany, it is joke here, everything for the cars, crumbs for cyclists...when I see those INNER CITY bike ways, I get envious...
yes same in london, there is some but not much it is still very car focused and needs to change tbh
funny cyclist dont really need it though drivers in Germany see you and give you priority virtually all the time
@@blanco7726 well then I've been living in a different GER for 47 years... but it really depends on the area, thats my experience
Not only that, but SF has a thing called the SF Bicycle Coalition! You can donate or become a member to improve SF streets to be a lot more bike friendly from making dedicated bike lanes, slowing down cars on certain streets, or even getting rid of commercial cars on a street. They also hold biking/safety classes and lots more! If you become a member, you get 15% off on hundreds of partnered family owned bike shops around the city.
The hub sound, like symphony to my ears😍
Nothing beats the new, clean & good sounding bike :) Hub, freewheel, tyres on the asphalt, all of it :)
Funny -- I just moved to SF 6 months ago and watch your videos partly for my nostalgia for NY. Now you're talking about moving to NY and your nostalgia for SF.
Thanks for the wonderful videos, Terry! They keep me inspired and get me through the winter. Cheers! 🎥🚴🚴🚴
All those e-vehicles wanting to flex on you lol so funny
Wow, SF is so advanced in bike lanes since I was there in 1979-80. Loved the ride along.
Me : I want to travel to SF.
COVID -19 : No can do. Go watch Terry's video. Its even better.
If I get overtaken by a electric bike or scooter I always feel bad and start to race them
This was me heading to BART I was at a red and a scooter pulled up, "we" as in only me started racing but I couldn't keep up lol, stupid wind was coming at me too strong.
as an ebiker, I always feel bad passing roadies up. I try to respect other riders so I don't get chewed out at the next community event.
Also, my ebike got passed by an electric skateboard once. That sucked.
Dude, you are the guy I always look for, lol. I usually say to myself....does this guy seriously think he can go faster than me on my escooter that does 40mph?!?! I guess he gon learn today!
the ratchet noise on that hub sounds like youre being chased by angry hornets
The way that clocktower manifested out of the white sky (near the end of the video) was incredible
Everything is so OPEN in SF. So much space!
I LOL'ed when you mentioned the Wholefoods store. I know its cool to mock South Park now but they hit the nail on the head with that one.
OG independent from 96-97 and these videos bring back a lot of memories..
Thanks for the tour and welcome back to the bay. Dope bike and nice to see you representing the local Outer Shell frame bag. Peace!
super cool to get to see SF like that again. I rode SF for 10 years back in the 90's
Love the look of this bike. Thanks for the tour Terr!
The anodising on the top tube of that no.22 is Dope!!!
suggested route: starting from equator coffee in marina-- ride up park to Polk, left on Broadway.. go through tunnel to right on Columbus, segways to Montgomery... to new Montgomery......... most fun around 330 - 5 on weekdays because heavy traffic and that's when bikes rule
Man I work at 45 Fremont... this used to be my way of getting to work... feel so strange and warm-hearted watching this video after WFH for 6+ months...
Loved your SF ramble even if I had a hard time understanding your narration because of the ambient sounds and maybe the mic. By the way, our shop sells E-bikes, of course, but I have to admit that even at my age, I am still kind of partial towards them. When I see young people on E-gadgets, I don't know, it just does not seem legit. Personally, I still like to mash and grind, suffer a bit, feel the benefits of honest and hard pedalling. Mind you some people are totally justified when buying one and it will, much later I hope, become an option for me. Thanks for letting us discover part of SF. I can't wait to see the rest.
What type of people are buying your ebikes at your store are they people who aren't cyclist or are they mtbers or something like that?
@@illuforce Hi! Oh all kinds my friend. Mountain bikers, elderlies, young fathers or mothers riding with their kids in a buggy attached to the bike and, mostly right now, we have sold out our E-Fatbikes. We have one Norco Ithaqua left, that's all. ;-)
Ebikes are nice because it allows people who might not be in shape to pedal around up and over bridges. These people might only drive cars and not know what it feels to be on a bike when a car doesn't give you extra space. maybe just maybe it'll make them think differently when driving around cyclists. It's all about perspective...
Love your videos. If I see you this week I will yell and scream to you lol.
California, the golden state :) Nice yellow colouring! Looks like some kind of sepia.
Bro! Academy Bros! I lived in SF from 2003-2010, graduated AAU in 2008! SF has definitely changed a lot since then.
Im sorry but You cant look cool on a hoverboard no matter how hard you try.
In Austin, I’ve been ticketed twice for running reds. Now I’m a good boy.
Yes, Texas sucks big fat Texas sized dick.
I’ve been cycling for 40 years and I love Titanium bikes. Next is Reynolds 531. I hate carbon!
that bike looks so dope
I just checked out your Drifter bike on 22bicycles. My god, $10k+ !! Nice wheels indeed.
“A lot of people die on that road.” How nonchalant
How accepting. Hopefully it changes to outrage. London used to be similar with it's attitude. Call me naive but feels like it has changed.
Haha such deja vu from Dutch cities, but way more spacious & differently marked.
Awesome!!!
Great Color Match with the Orange Bag and the blue Bottles. I checked the MountTam ride on Strava, tough one.
Nice bike and skills. I tried riding my road bike, after riding fixed gear non-stop for 6 months. It feels weird lol.
@Stevie Blue I only tried my road bike for few minutes. I feel like a cheater on it lol. Probably going to use only 3 gears on long rides and on high gears it feels funny.
Always on Market Street, let's get a ride along Geary or somewhere out to the park and back! Great vids!
12:20 That Mr2 was low.
good eyeball
Buen recorrido.
Compared to Bogota Colombia.thats.heaven dude.
Beautiful color frame
Bike paths look really nice. Very advanced. Not as much population as NYC.
How much saturation? Yes!
'look at this guy, I'ma run his ass over" - every cyclist's inner monologue
SF looks like a really nice version of denver lol
You rolling I9 hubs? Love the sound
Nice footage excellent narration safe travels pal!
"There's no grime left." lolol. The remaining locals complain about how dirty our streets have become on a daily basis.
Wrong kinda grime xD
Is San Francisco more colourful than New York, or did you use editing magic?
Must be that Pacific sunlight
its a very diverse and beautiful city for sure
The light on the west coast is different.
Terry I would love to see you ride in Los Angeles, like in koreatown or in Beverly hills where traffic is denser.
and then he could stop and skate at JKWON too
For all the money the city collects, those streets look like shite.
I love your bikes colour
What frame bag is that?
Whats size your tires? I think 29er
Ton of those hover-whatevers in Seattle too, at least when you get close to the Amazon campus.
SF looks so good
He jumped a jump bike, classic
$1B Trans Bay Terminal
0:01 nice shot of the U.S. Mint
just curious... What handlebar are you running in your bicycle?
I LOOOOOOOVE your bike.
Small world, I attended AAU myself, a photography major. Didn’t get to finish tho😕
10:14 daily feel, peds in DTSF are truly something
Hi Terry!....what’s is the price of your Titanium bike...
Dude, you went to AAU? Nice! they were among my top choices for college. Was it a good time?
Howdy, question? Shopping for a bike speedometer. What are you using a phone or an actual speedometer? If yes to a speedometer....which one are you using?
where did you put that action cam?
the pov looks so cool
Man, what's yor job, that you still have time for making videos, riding and other bike stuff? ))
Bro that bike is so sick, I need it. How much?
Terry how did you afford sf?
Sent you a package yesterday Terry! Just a heads up.
Enjoy the drugs!
Hello,
what are your tires, compass steilacoom ?
Watch like two videos back
Nice 👍🏿
It's mad when you spoke about Montgomery, cos I started to tear up as that was the first place a man took my virginity. He was my 1st true love.
Ok
the first place he took your virginity? where was the second?
@@highp87 I put on a show for a house full of women and men. Thanks for showing an interest. It's 2020 and great that people can be themselves now. Why, what's your story?
Stephen Wyatt question was rhetorical, an observation on the nuance of language. My story? About my virginity? Or just in general...
Sorry if it's a repeated question... What tyres you riding??
Check out his last bike check vid!
@@KillingTimewithStyle thanks - the awkward thing was i did actually watch that two days ago but totally forgot i did hahaha
miss it every day
I'm going to SF soon and want to ride around. Any place there that you could rent a good road bike or fixed gear? I don't want to ride those slow public bikes that are rentable on the street
Yes sports basement sf let’s you rent some sick bikes, nowhere in the city of San Francisco is someone gunna rent you a fixed gear. Unless that person is a resident with extra bikes and is also your boy
what hub is that?
2022 we are even to lazy to walk. The electric scooters bikes and boards. Who would have thought!
Terry, do you feel NY will come back from the virus and the rioting? Or has it changed forever?
I might need those bars. Anyone know the name?
second this!
I actually got back into riding from riding an uber bike around town
Os Gemeos!
The graffiti twins are called "gêmeos". They're brazilian
What did you go to school for man!?
Terry what’s the biggest difference between SF and NYC cyclists?
Why those tires?
Probably so he can go through sand, mud, hop a kerb if needs to
Terry does this load out have cleats?
Do you mean he is riding clipped in ?
The electric assisted bikes, scooters etc phenomenon, looks at travel as a problem to be solved, forgetting humans have evolved to move our bodies. It lacks what John Vervaeke refers to in his RUclips series, awakening from the meaning crisis, as participatory knowing.
I like mtb and electric assisted mtb can really help me get up the mountains or his so I can do what I love which is go down them at high speeds
What is this bike model?
It’s a No. 22 Drifter
22bicycles.com/pages/drifter/
Lots of bike lanes but I honestly feel bike culture kinda waned in San Francisco. Got replaced with e transportation. Kinda sad but still a great city to ride.
Can you make a video one day on what it’s like cycling through bad areas of New York or California (the hood)or just actually going through such areas because I always wondered how cyclist in big cities ride around so peacefully without being mugged or bothered by some hooligans .
Lol people really don't brother ppl on bikes.. don't let the media fool you.
Wisdom Keeper I beg to differ just don’t end up in the wrong place at the wrong time is all I can say
When I ride through rough neighborhood I don't know, I don't stop and just keep riding through. I'm careful at choke points, don't stop unless necessary. Never had a problem. Bridges and late at night are a no go unless someone is riding along with me or there are other cyclist.
10:16 wasn't mean, it was funny
ngl, i chuckled.
damn those hubs sound delicious
10:20 oh look at this guy ... ima run him over ... oh crap ..he he he that was mean , maybe but sure was funny ,dude was Taking a sweet old time oblivious to surroundings Think ya just taught him a lesson
Would you ever move back to SF?
useless fact
kamikaze also mean sacred wind
Ha Fulfill the Dream shoutout
10:11 HAHAHAHA Fr tho what was he doing standing in the middle like that??
Why are you rocking those tires on a road bike
It’s not a road bike
@@TerryB looks like one to me
✌️😎👍
Cool I wanna move to sf I'm not that poor but I'm not that rich maybe riding bike I can afford it although a little dangerous what's life without compromise
