Trapped! was such a good show, the fact that both me and my mother both mentioned it on different occasions in only the past few weeks is just a testament to how it left an impression on both of us. I was curious the other week and looked up the voice. The Voice from the first season is still going and has done voice acting for games such as DoS II, SWTOR, Horizon ZD and recently Atomic Heart. Such a coincidence I came across the first part of your video the other day only for it to come up again!
I remember discovering Trapped for the first time when I was 10 years old - I was at my nan’s house with my mum and sister, and playing on the TV was a re-run of Series 3 Episode 10 on CBBC.
You've just reminded me of Lockie Leonard somehow, and I hate how I instantly thought "I wonder if I can annoy my Aussie mate by mentioning that show". I already annoy him by referencing Bondi Rescue, like when I snuck the "straight into me hairstyle" line into our D&D campaign
My friend's brother was on Trapped and won (the Bolton episode - Nathan). Apparently because of his skills and winning, everyone he participated with fell out with him because they wanted to win. He got to keep the key though, and holding the key of freedom is a core memory of mine
I love how when you think about it, Balamory was basically just Coronation Street for kids (but way better) To be honest, I didn’t actually watch the show THAT much as a kid but I watched a lot of Me Too (it’s sister show) Oh and Trapped certainly unlocked some mild childhood trauma. It’s fair to say that every kid thought it was real. Also fun fact, the actor who plays the Caretaker in that show is the same actor who plays Alexandr in the Compare the Meerkat adverts If I was to pick with British TV Show I watched the most as a kid, it would probably be Octonauts. I find this fact kind of ironic now because it’s all about the ocean and sea life and I loved it as a kid. Yet now that I’m older, I have thallasophobia (fear of the ocean) I kind of blame Octonauts for my phobia though. Ahhh Cam. I got teary too when Come Outside came on. Such fond memories sitting cross legged in my grandparents living room watching it. Miss them both terribly. Love you Granny Audrey and Grandad Derek ❤
5:21 🥲 Grief is really hard and I'm so sorry for your loss, Cam. I lost my grandma last year too (it's actually coming up to her 1 year anniversary) and I recognised the pain in your voice when thinking about him 💗 sending lots of love x
I lost a set of grandparents within almost a year (Grandad Three days after Christmas 2023 and my grandmother back in November and seeing that show tears me up whenever I remember them and it) Godspeed Cam 🙏🏻
You’ve proper made me have flashbacks and I don’t know whether to feel happy, upset, traumatised or all of the above, I honestly thank you for reminding me about atleast the good parts of my childhood 😂
It was Trapped, Jungle Run, Raven (the CBBC version from like 2002), Bear Behaving Badley, Bamzooki, The Slammer, 50/50 and so many others that are just pure nostalgia
Absolutely brilliant video Cam, you had me howling with laughter 😂 Can't believe Raven or My Parents Are Aliens hasn't featured in either of your videos mind. GOATED shows.
Come Outside makes me emotional too! Loved that show so much. Unfortunately the lady passed away one or two years ago. It was touching to see your reaction
Omg, I freaking loved Basil Brush as a kid! Also, do you know of Raven?! It’s a Scottish game show that aired on CBBC where the host, who could transform into a raven, would have teens compete in different challenges. If you haven’t already done a video on that, then you should definitely have that in Part 3 of this series
Trapped is worth watching in October, and beyond the reuploads... its Britain's Among Us for children before Among Us. Imagine being guided to deceive your team, and getting them trapped in a dark and spooky tower for centuries, Nightmare Fuel for 8-14 years old.
Grew up with CBBC and CITV. Would come home after school in middle school and just park myself in front of the tv, channel hop til my eyes went square and my mam would call me for tea
I remembered every one of these from both part one and two. The only one I'd actually forgotten was Meg and Mog and felt so much nostalgia. Come Outside gives me such tear jerking feels too. My sister actually started playing it for my nephew so he'd grow up with those joys. I mean, The Wild Thornberries could be a bit unhinged, Dick and Dom in the bungalow too now I think about it. There was also The Queens Nose and The Cramp Twins.
5:20 I know the feeling, Cam. My grandad passed away almost 2 years ago now and we both used to watch Horrid Henry together. Hearing the classic "It's not fair" theme tune brings back the memories of us watching the show and blowing raspberries at each other. It's the little memories we hold close! I bet he's so proud of you! ♥ I'd love to see you react to some classic Horrid Henry clips!
Please do a video on Come Outside! It invokes the same emotions in me that I saw in you, such a great childhood memory & show🥹 literally inspired me to want to fly & sparked my love for planes, already flown once😅eeeeep!
The fact that nobody's mentioned The Trapdoor is hurting my soul. It was like Grissly tales but less gruesome and more absurd, and the designs were all great
I used to watch come outside with my grandma. She died around 10 years ago and I didn’t really process it until a few years ago when Auntie Mabel passed away it absolutely broke me I had this weird attachment to her and pippin that I didn’t realise until she passed away 🥲 this brought back so many memories
It's always strange when you get a connection made with something you know well to something you have the dimmest memory of. And you pointing out Georgina Leonidas (aka Katie Bell in HP) was in the Basil Brush shows is one of those moments. I must've watched so much of that show growing up, but never realised.
im sorry for the passing of your grandad and i know what you mean about watching shows with your grandad as i did the same thing with my grandad who recently passed
I absolutely love this. I'm only half Brit so I don't remember all of these shows.. But definitely a good handful and boy was it nostalgic, some I'd even forgotten about, would love to see more of these and hopefully remember more kids shows that I used to watch. Smashing video, mate! And I'm sorry for the loss of your grandpa, sending all of the love. I don't know how things are off camera but as someone who just recently saw your return video, you look well. Look after yourself. ❤
A girl in my form was on Trapped and for the entirety of year 7 she would get “YOU’RE TRAPPED” on the daily and it makes me realise that kids will take the p*ss for literally anything 😂
I remember when my siblings and I used to watch The Slammer, and my brother actually thought that you actually had to perform if you wanted to leave prison.
I also used to watch Come Outside with my grandad. He and my granny had a dog and we used to go to the Sunderland aircraft museum together. Thanks for bringing those memories back~
I remember ages ago there was someone streaming and they said they were on trapped and I was so confused when i found out they're not actually trapped forever
Depends on how you think about this, Basil Brush was filmed in the Maidstone Studios, alongside Finders Keepers & Art Attack. (At different times of production, but remember seeing all three being done there)
9:40 I was part of the laughter track for The Basil Brush show! They filmed it at a studio down the road from my childhood home along with Art Attack and Ministry of Mayhem!
*The Slammer was basically a combination of Porridge and Britain’s Got Talent. Also who remembers the rumour going around on Twitter that Auntie Mabel and the voice from Trapped were the same woman?*
they need to bring back some of these shows liked trapped just with the budget way higher and with people our age who grew up with them as kids just for the sake of it
OH MY GOD, TRAPPED!!! For the longest time I was persuaded it was a fever dream when my mum and mum's friends, and even their kids said they had no idea what it was (in a sort of Candle Cove-like situation)

Jim will fix it 💀
Trapped! Fuck me that brings back memories. I used to think the lips were Cruella devil (Glenn close)😂
Not a Horror show but Bodger and Badger the Puppet in that Was Creepy as F#k. And the Tracey Beaker Episode the Beaker witch Project
begging you do grandpa in my pocket

As an Australian kid I watched every single one of these. The nostalgia is real.
