I was extremely impressed Oscar; quite amazing for someone as youthful as you. Much of the dissonance was atmospheric, not coming across as dissonance just for its own sake. Good to hear that you are now organ scholar at All Saints East St. Kilda and that you played for the whole high mass last Sunday. It's wonderful that all is going well for you as an apprentice with Australian Pipe Organs. [You certainly saved me from nightmares when you came a couple of days before Christmas, after APO had shut down for the year, and I had 5 masses in three days!}
Thanks to Colin for driving me herev! Thank you and bravo Oscar for your improvisation where France is not far away... Also happy to discover this very distant instrument from here!
It's good to have an upload from you, Oscar! Those sections of your improvisation with a strong rhythmic drive were quite arresting and the harmonic language moved beyond Langlais and was distinctive in its dissonance. Altogether impressive, and an interesting insight into where you are right now musically. Thank you - and bravo!
Very impressive Oscar. Well done. Good the hear someone improvising in the French manner and doing it so well.
