It's funny you mentioned Showgirls. I'm watching the Saved By The Bell episode Dancing to the Maxx where there was a dance competition at the max, and it got me wondering if the producer saw Elizabeth dancing on the show and that's why she was cast as Nomi Malone for the movie.

@@themacocko6311 *Mark-Paul Gosselaar* was the breakout star of _Saved by the Bell_ (1989-1993). He received the most press/opportunities/fan mail and was often the face of the merchandise or front and center in a group shot. Initially, *'Zack Morris'* was a supporting character in the first iteration of the show titled _Good Morning, Miss Bliss_ (1988-1989), which mainly focused on the teacher and was canceled after one season. However, *'Zack'* proved to be quite popular, so the series was retooled as _SBTB,_ dropping the teacher and making *'Zack'* the main star. The rest is history. That said, the other four had their fair share of fans, too. *'Kelly'* was definitely the most popular female character on the show.
Yeah because way back in the late 80s/early 90s, every teenage guy wanted Kelly Kapowski.
Kelly should have had her own show, she shined from here to the last Galaxy

In the late '80s, there was an Aussie craze in the U.S. after the blockbuster successes of _Crocodile Dundee_ (1986) and its sequel (1988). This episode aired in the fall of 1989.
Guessing one of the crew/writers probably put it up for personal reasons, etc.
If you look closely there are other odd choices of decor on the walls like posters etc.
