Cool! just what i needed... Just need one more thing. Is it possible to fx. use a specific length of for plank for example 1500mm, and then make a pull handle that can draw maybe 2 and a half plank?
So is draws 2 whole planks an then automatic cut the last plank in any given lenght?

I am not sure I understand the question.

@@BIMforInteriorDesign Can you array something were there are a fixed lenght for the first 2 om an array an after that it becomes shorter than the 2 first. Its kind of hard to explain.
But think of a floor plank were you need 2 in the whole lenght and a third is cut of.

I was able to follow your tutorial to successfully create a 2-D parametric array. Thank you! I have been unable to figure out how to place a label in the array that will report the number of objects (in my case, chairs) in each row of the array and have been unable to find an explanation that I can understand that will help me do so. Can you help - or point me to another source of help?

Hi Ron. You are right that you can not tag or schedule number of objects in the family as I created it. I created those parameters as family parameters, that is why it is not possible to place them in the tag. To be able to tag those numbers, X_array_count and Y_array_count parameters would have to be created as shared parameters. If you don't want to recreate thse parameters in the family that I created, it is possible to create two new shared parameters inside the family and just copy X and Y array count number to them.
This is a good tip for a future tutorial.

Create a Shared Parameter called Total as an integer. The formula for that parameter would be Number X * Number Y (Whatever you named your array numbers) Then it would calculate the total and you could create a tag and bring that Shared Parameter into the tag.

Hello Sir, i know you one of many an expert, but if dont mind, i need your help, according to your tutorial, how can i create a rebar or reinforcement to Circle object family?
    thank you so much

      Hi,
creating rebar using method from the tutorial in Revit is not the best idea. There are rebar tools, especially created for working with rebar. You should use these.

I got "Elements cannot be placed as a result of changes to groups." when placing the second dimension of the array

@@BIMforInteriorDesign Ok, I explained my problem in brief.
I meant that I did the array in x direction as usually. I tried to select this "X" array to build the second array in "Y" direction. The array procedure doesn't select the complete first array, but just only one item (the first object) even if I select the xArray completely. I found later that I should make the first array as nested family to the family which I want to make within the second "Y" direction array. I solved it in this way. sure by sharing their parameter between them. Thanks

@@EliasDaoud-ty8pf Good to hear you found the solution. It is quite easey to get lost when creating this kind of family.

Just I have one phrase to say: the Revit is the most ever stupid program in the world, and it has bug much more than the stars in the sky.
