The Bear Claw is the best of both worlds in my opinion. In a One-Carry Option, it can do it all! Choke up on the choil to perform more like an 8 inch blade, chop like hell, and stabby enough to protect yourself like the biggest of Bowie Knives!! Crocodile Dundee would be proud for sure!! Great design Alex!!😎👍
@@auroraborealisknives4019 Bear Claw Bowie is the perfect large blade my friend!! Absolutely perfect! Can't wait for wednesday at 5pm Pacific Time in the U.S.!!!🤣
K329 Steel is tough stuff. I worked with it several years ago when it was called Viking from Bohler. We used it on a 360-ton coin press to strike out service medals. It was honestly one of our best-performing and longest-lasting dies even though we had access to steels with higher wear resistance. The combination of traits that it has seems perfect for big knives.
Alex, you're still KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK with your designs! BOTH of those are amazing. As I've typed before, the "Granddaddy" to the above two knives, the "Kodiak", will ALWAYS be one of my end-all/be-all knives. Despite that, you and Vic just keep doing what you're doing. The Knife Community is a better place because of the hard work and innovation of you two. 👍
Both nice knives for sure, but I favor the Bear Claw with greater piercing capabilities. Never know if and when your knife may become a self defensive tool. Thanks for the video and comparison of these two beautiful blades!
The Grizzly's lack of piercing ability is what kept it from being a truly one tool option. The bear claw looks absolutely perfect. In my opinion, if someone really needs the extra chopping power, get an Axe.
Interested ….yeah….every drop is sold out by the time I get home from work…..please do more quantities or keep the order open by offering a pre-order so you can scale to order.
While holding the Bear Claw, at 3:07 you said the Grizzly is gonna drop on Wednesday of next week. Don't you mean the Bear Claw drops on the 15th ? Nice video. I've been waiting for this comparison
Ugh! Now I’m really torn! I’ve been planning on getting a Grizzly the next time they drop but this is so tempting and I can’t do both. I still think the Grizzly suits my needs a little better because I don’t see myself needing to do a lot of (or any) piercing and I prefer the slightly better chopping option. Do you still think the Grizzly will be released again this year with this one now on the market?

I did ALOT of research before choosing that steel and we are always testing out new ways to improve the HT

It is unlikely that the Grizzly will drop in 2024 since Vic has tons of other designs already scheduled
Alright then; that simplifies my decision! Thanks!
Beautiful design Alex. Does the Bear Claw come in K329 steel as well?
K329 👍
Any updates on when there will be another run if this or the kodiak? Picked up the mnt lion❤
