Kids who see their parents doing house work (cooking, cleaning etc. become very loving towards their parents right into ;later life until their parents die. They study well, marry good partners etc. So it's one pf the many things to do to raise non rebellious kids- Spend more time at home doing house work.
How did you get your son with special needs to help with household chores? Does he mimic his siblings, or did you involve a therapist to get him to cooperate? I need help getting my son to do anything but make messes. But he is my oldest, and he only has 1 sister. I'm becoming Catholic this Easter. 💓
Hi Puzzles, Joe is our 5th so he does have older and younger siblings to imitate, both the good and bad. In order for him to do chores I pretty much have to be with him the whole time. He does move all the dirty laundry baskets to the laundry room without me there. I just remind him and he does it, but it takes a long, long time to form the habit. Hang in there mama! It's a tough job, but the rewards in the end are great. I also have him do things with me like move furniture or shelving units while I vacuum behind the stuff, then he moves it back into place. Congratulations on your upcoming Catholic confirmation.
