Thanks so much for watching and supporting my Channel. I will be back in 2022 with new composites. See you then Have a great Christmas and New Year ...Mike
Hi Mark Thanks for watching, that's the great thing about a tutorial it gives you the ability to see how its done and then change things to suit your taste. in this case not applying the LUT will leave you with the darker blue look. thanks again for watching and commenting much appreciated ....Mike
Just discovered you, fantastic tutorial, your AP skills are very impressive but the most impressive thing is how you have the vision to know what you want to do
Hello Michael, a very nice composition with a lot of small details that are a pleasure to the eyes. It's precise and efficient and gives ideas for the future. Thank you for the efficiency of your tutos.
It is another inspiring creative composition that makes this dreamer wanting to fly. Well, at least so far I found my own dock to jump from. I’m thinking, I’m thinking…..???
🙏 Once again, a very informative and enjoyable tutorial Michael. I picked-up a few new tricks and you motivated me to try alternative ways to approach compositing. Thanks so much!
Michael: that was so amazing. I learned so much about details. Those little shadow enhancements and highlights where needed. Using blend mode to fade out the sky. I must watch this over and over again to get the entire lesson down. Simply great teaching. Thank you.
Eddie you are a champion and I always love seeing your comments. Thank you for being such an incredible supporter and thank you for such a fantastic comment......Mike
Another banging video Michael, you’re elevating my understanding of Affinity workflow so much more than the dry std vid’s that AF put out (James is so dull it hurts my brain). Keep em comin fella, appreciated 💯
Big compliment for your wonderful composings and explanations! I am sure we all can learn a lot with your help! maybe it is possible for you to make a tutorial concerning the MDNA Cover with glass panels and light effects ? Many greetings ! Hagen
HI and thanks for watching, no you don't have top flatten the layers if you don't want to, You can export as a Jpeg or any other format or just save as to keep the Affinity file structure with all layers in tacked . Thanks again ...Mike
Michael - it's very obvious you know what your doing with Affinity. I'm quite impressed. Have a question, why do so many youtube channels related to Affinity always want to do these creative images? All I'm interested in is improving my images. My wife and I travel quite a bit and I really enjoy working on my photography. I'm sorry but I guess I wouldn't call this photography. More inclined to think of your creativity as being something someone would use in a marketing department. Like I said you do wonderful work but I need someone that help me with my photography.
Gary I could talk to you about this subject all day, I call this photo manipulation and I put it into a different category than photography. I would be interested to know what you want to do with your photography, and in what way you want to improve it, beyond the the basics like EG exposure, highlights and shadows, contrast and the like. Are you talking about changing sky's, removing objects making the photo look different from what came out of your camera ? There is so many different opinions, I for one used to be very guilty of watching so many tutorials and I ended up way over editing my images and they just looked fake in the end. Its a trap we all fall into, my advise and I know its not worth much but I would stick to the basics especially for travel images, as long as you have a good composition you may only need to adjust exposure, white balance and highlights and shadows, go easy on the contrast and clarity. Anyway mate I feel your pain if I can help in anyway let me know ...Mike
@@MikeAffinityTuts Very good video This guy you can tell is very well informed but he probably needs to slow down his presentation a bit. Thanks for letting me know about this Michael. I've watch a few more of your videos and it quite apparent you are an expert with the product. I'll keep watching to see if I can't use some of your methods in "true photography." (just kidding)
Hi Tomi I know that you can set up macro's (like actions in PS) but I am not familiar with it at all. Could be a good question for the Affinity forum forum.affinity.serif.com/?_fromLogin=1 sorry I am not much help on that one ...Mike
@@MikeAffinityTuts Found it, had to go document->transparent background. More familiar with photoshop so how things are in affinity is new to me. Thanks

Amazing tutorial! How did you do the shooting star effect? ;-)
Hi jan thanks so much, The shooting star is created in the editing software Final Cut pro and is done by key framing...Mike
Is it possible to duplicate same brush stroke again and again? like repeating same stroke you did automatically.
