I'm not sure if you've done a video on this but when you get a pair of boots or leather shoes, it's important that you shine and polish them regularly. I never did but YT got me interested with all the before and after videos of shiny shoes. It took me a while to perfect my technique but I've got them to a point where they look like friggin mirrors. I can't tell you how many compliments I get about my shoes from women. "Holy crap, I can see my reflection in your shoes," "I've never seen shoes so shiny," etc... It's a great ice breaker plus I find the activity to be calming and relaxing after a hard day's work!
Excellent picks. Thank God it's Fall! Especially around this time of year, I hop to two sources of style inspiration; 1) Ashley's style tips, and 2) Judd Hirsch as Alex in 'Taxi'. In the cooler seasons, I live in my Barbour jacket.
Your always looking spot on. You talk immaculately, in a manner that matches perfect with your style, your body language ties in and you are just magical. I could listen to you all day long, in fact listening to you takes me off to a very relaxed place it’s like music to my ears then when I see you it’s like giving a kid a lollie. No disrespect.
I wish it got cold enough in Phoenix to justify a Barbour jacket. Fall styles always look so good, but are just impractical here. At least I can wear boots and an overshirt or my Herrington jacket 😉
Ashley, thank you so much for including bigger type guy solutions in all your videos. Ps- I’ve always wanted to know if I would look good in a Chelsea boots and you covered it today.
I’m not usually super stylish. But found my favourite outfit to be a medium wash denim jacket with the sleeves rolled back once, paired with a black hoodie underneath and then a navy+white baseball cap with a red brim to be my favourite look
He’s back to being behind-the-scenes now. He was only on camera by my request and didn’t want to do it anymore. He definitely didn’t start another channel haha.
Depending where you live the barbour utility jacket is probably too warm unless you are in very late fall or early winter. I’d wear it as a winter coat in Maryland.
Zip sweaters don't look as good for layering. Especially when your jacket is open. I used to like them for the convenience, but once you get used to collar sweaters it matters less.
Am watching from Doha Qatar but I love your content it has totally improve my fashion style thanks for the great work. Bigups on you. I miss Dorian in the videos.😔😔
Thanks so much for the support! I wish I could say Dorian misses being in the videos, but...he doesn't hahaha He's enjoying being back behind the camera again :)
So in the Fall up in Alberta, Canada, with weather being sometimes lightly snowing, then sunny during the day, but temperature drastically drops 10 degrees in the evenings, I have polyester bombers, but I want something more high quality, so would suede, nylon or wool work best for this kind of weather?
I’m in the uk 🇬🇧. I’ve just brought myself a camel tan sports jacket, to wear when I go Stratford upon Avon in December. yes I’m a guy and I’m looking at lots of ladies colour combinations to wear, as men don’t seem to do many combinations, how about teal, burgundy or grey tops/shirts , then I’ve got the trousers which are Checked grey or blue or black jeans ladies any ideas please
My husband found you guys and had us watching your videos to figure out how to get his wardrobe looking good. We're not very good at this yet but he already looks (insert cat call) ;) he loves it. Thank you for that. I am wondering what to do for myself though can women get away with doing a similar style? I'm usually not a fan of a lot of women's clothing. Is there anything you would recommend checking out?
Hi Ashley and Dorian. I live in Vancouver Canada and this morning I woke to 1 degree Celsius weather that’s 33 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a feeling that this kind of weather is likely going to be very common in the next few months and I’m wondering if there are other fashionable options for jackets other than what you’ve shown us. I have noticed that fashion is far more utilitarian here than in New York City where I am from, people typically wear down filled puffer jackets or Gore-Tex rain shells but I’ve never really liked the more casual and well, more frumpy styles that most people wear in this city. Can you guys help me out? I love you guys, many thanks❤️❤️❤️
I am trying to get a grip on what flannel is. It seems like it can be wool (like you mentioned) or cotton or even a polyester blend. But wouldn’t cotton flannel just be a chino? Please explain. I could actually use a full video on flannel.
Helpful. Could you also add your suggestions in the description or at least a time stamp. It would make it load easier for when I need to recall or go back to a specific moment as I shop! 😊
What brand of Cardigans were you showcasing in this video? I've been looking up lightweight Shawl collar Cardigans with patch pockets so just curious. I found some nice ones on Amazon but want to see if there are better options for sure just to compare.
@@MensFashioner Didn't see it sorry but thanks for notifying me. Keep up the good work! I'll comment once in awhile for sure. Haven't commented much on your videos before but thanks for being so kind.
Sometimes i hate beeing 2m tall (6'7).... Buying nice pants is hard. I have one pair of wool trousers but they are to expensive to wear daily. I havn't found cheaper pants in my size. And same with chinos (but tailorstore works) and finding denim is hard also.
Hey Ashley. What's your opinion on the Ralph Lauren Polo Bear items. I am 25 and planning on purchasing a grey sweater with the bear on it. Is it too childish or do you think it can add a playful chilled element to an otherwise more formal outfit.
Bigger guys can wear Chelsea boots, it depends on your body shape. I would say as long as your shoulders are wider than your belly, there's no way you'll look like Humpty Dumpty
I still don't respect her input after dissing the Space Jam 11. Maybe if I was a 35 year old father of 3 then yea I could maybe see Jordan's not being the move...

I really miss seeing you and your main dude as often as before. But glad to see you now.

Love your advice on wool trousers, and I agree with a no fragrance smell.

Do wonder if men have these style expectations for female's.?
Larger guys can get away with Chelsea boots. Just don't get boots with a narrow toe box. I recommend Blundstone or Rossi.
