Problem is, it never really removed any of barbara's main problems. Like her energy recharge, long cool down or her constant hydro application to the on field character makes your game a space bar simulator
@@dominicjannazo7144 Even then, he'll still be the 2nd most consistent and reliable dendro applicator (well, one of the only). We still lack a lot of Dendro so if you play dendro teams on both sides of the abyss, you'll always end up using them both.
I've been using Kuki/Barbara/DMC/Albedo a lot lately. I'm calling it the hug team because Kuki and Barbara just run around hugging the enemy, not even attacking, and everything dies. These two have amazing synergy.

@@bugsbunny8684 If I'm not mistan the rumor is exactly that, that her and Qiqi were the only healers in the game at launch (considering Noelle and Xinqiu aren't really healers), so they decided to demote Barbara to 4* to help players get through the game more easy at the beginning, even if they already worked on her burst animations

Thank you, a Barbara guide is rare and she's still being slept on. It's great that some of the free characters got a pretty big buff from dendro. She's actually really good with Kazuha in hyperbloom teams. His grouping has a ton of synergy with her hydro ring, so you can keep enemies close and apply hydro more consistently.
A bit more specific, and not as relivent to Bloom, but as an Ayaka main, Barbara is a perfect partner for Ayaka, too! Between the consistant Cryo application Ayaka has and Barbara's aura lets you CC anything short of a boss very easilly. I've found that Barbara's aura is even better for this than Kokomi since high mobility with Ayaka is a HUGE boon
Barbara is a lot more useful than people giver her credit for. She's great in my hyperbloom team and is amazing for co opt due to her hydro application and ability to heal no matter where players are on the field. Haven't tried burgeon yet but once I level my Thoma I'll check it out.
I pulled Kokomi really early on my account and turned her into one of my backup mains, so I kind of let Barbara fall to the wayside, but I'm still really happy to see her getting more love with the advent of Dendro! On-field hydro healers unite!
Some reasons... I've upset of about everyone hates Barbara because she's easiest to get her constellations, currently due to Nilou's banner. I always comfirm of everyone already has Barbara over than C6. If only I can get Kokomi easier since "damage" always the main factors because Kokomi can do both of heal and damage with her Max HP dependent while Barbara is only heal from her Max HP.
Barbara was one of my first C6 characters her revival ability helped me a lot in the early game. I'm glad that she's given a new purpose with F2P Bloom teams~
Thank God I've been using Barbara since day one so all I just need to do is hope that I still have a couple of magic guides and I should be pretty good with using her for the Bloom stuff. It's been pretty crazy how many characters have been getting a surprise buff thanks to this new element that's been out and I had a feeling that Barbara would be the next in line considering it seems to be a funny pattern. Characters that were once ridiculed or mocked into they're not good they're nowhere near as strong as the recent updated versions that you have to draw and pray to God you get instead now thanks to this new element even those characters like Lisa and Barbara have a much more stronger purpose and reason to actually want to build. But again since I've been using Barbara since day one been screaming to the heavens every single time I kept freezing, I'm just happy that she actually has more of a use rather than just the healer/dragon tails increasing everyone's attack idol lol. Barbara was the first character I got C6 and boy did I enjoy that C6 to the fullest extent, including in Abyss. I don't play her much anymore but every time I go to Pyro flower I have her on the team to bring the flower down as she's the fastest character to do so.
I've been using a fridge team consisting of Barbara, Kazuha, Traveller, and Rosaria in abyss and domain runs and it's been so much fun! My Barbara is level 90 with over 1000 EM. After applying dendro and using her skill, she just deletes the enemies lol 😆
Regarding Barbara's skill cooldown, it may seem that it is pretty long and upsetting to see, but the duration of that skill actually is pretty long too having a 5 second downtime only when you proc her A4 passive and her c2. Sac frag is pretty good but sometimes unreliable when you want to proc its passive with barbara especially if you have lower ref of it and the needs to hug the enemy when you can the skill. Anyway really love your guide video! Feeling blessed for a barbara main like me

Barbara was permanently on my team when I first started the game, then I got Zhongli and she just got benched at level 20. I'm so sorry I neglected the blooming idol XD. Luckily had spare mats to get her to 80

I use her in my Kuki Hyperbloom team comp consisting of Barbara (Driver) (I use her with Fav Book) DMC (Dendro Application) Xingqiu (Sub DPS/Additional Hydro Application and Damage) Kuki (Hyperbloom Enabler) This team is so freaking fun especially when doing bosses. It's also very comfortable since you can't die because of overhealing. There are times that Kuki is very VERY vulnerable so the comfort is mostly for her. Dendro made things more fun!
I honestly built her because of them meme-scream from the Community. Now she is now in my Burgeon/Hyperbloom teams from time to time for the fun of it.
For three months Barbara was my only hydro character, and I tend to play healing playstyles anyway, so she quickly became my main. This is despite me starting when Fontaine was new! 😂 I did a few things you recommended but my main team I settled on was electro traveler, Fischl and Yaoyao with Barbara as my driver. Because I was using auto attacks I didn't need such close range and I used gilded dreams and Mappa Mare. I figured it wouldn't be a normal Barbara build, but I had to make it work lol. I'm now AR 55 and pulled both Furina and Ayato, so it's a whole new realm lol.
I have no kokomi so i use a level 60 barb as my bloom maker in my hyperbloom fish team. It works...surprisingly well. I dont think i even need to build her since fischl is the one proccing the hyperblooms.
You're the first YTer to mention Sac frags for Barbara! I discovered it when Ayaka came out because I didn't like having Kokomi's static location for hydro application. Ayaka moves around A LOT! Hydro app and healing, IMO, makes rotations more consistent than someone like Xingqiu and still needing a healer (in a freeze comp). This literally enables you to free up an entire slot.
When I started out playing Genshin I REALLY struggled with the fire-type mobs that were weak to Hydro, Xingqiu simply would NOT come home. Because I had only one Hydro character and had no interest in Childe's rerun at the time, I built DPS Barbara out of spite and her charged attack-Vaporize multipliers + healing carried all the way to end-game. I personally don't like Bloom's playstyle, but Hyperbloom/Fridge seems like a new fun way to play her.
I've been using Barbara with Dendro MC, Raiden, and either Sucrose or Zhongli since getting into Sumeru, and it's a really fun team. Thanks for some ideas on how to tweak Barbara a little more. Good to see she's not being slept on.
Ever since I started Genshin, I always have Barbara leveled up and part of my main party. She carried me and make sure to support my dps and sub dps on their roles. I am not Barbara main, but she always have a place with my exploration team. To be honest, she owns the 1st 5* banner signature weapon and i made sure to own it for her.
I use Ningguang for shield and damage, Barbara for constant healing, Gaming and Fischl for elemental reaction damage (also with Barbara and Fischl) makes things a lot easier in terms of fighting long boss battles or even when being ganged up on
I'm curious right now on the debate between Qiqi and Barbara now that Dendro is out. I think the two are now effectively tied in viability. Qiqi is a much better flex healer and since she is able to max out the bubbles damage from Ocean Hued Clam when off field, has more consistent damage compared to Barbara. Barbara of course can now be used in Dendeo teams and as Sevy says is able to get good reaction damage from blooms. One key thing I want to point out is that Barbara is almost completely outclassed by Kokomi while Qiqi is only somewhat outclassed by Diona (the cat girl has worse healing and raw damage, but her skill particle generation, shield, and EM buff at C6 more then make up for it). If I had to choose, I would still choose Qiqi as the better option overall. Around 1% better which is not statistically significant. I can understand arguments that Barbara is the clearly better choice however. It kinda speaks to how underwhelming Qiqi is as a 5* character.
Funny how people shitted on Barbara but yet when Corrosion first hit Abyss they didn’t have any healer and scrambled to build her I saw that potential and I c6’d her the moment I got her
i just started an account that only uses the 8 F2P characters and doesn't wish, with the exception of the first 10 pull on the beginner banner. I got Sucrose and Razor from that 10 pull but I don't use them as they aren't guaranteed, although I do use sucrose's crafting passive because it's purely a QoL thing (and sometimes bring her out for anemo puzzles so i don't have to swap the traveller's element) This guide is incredibly handy as I plan to make a bloom comp that centers around barb, collei, and dendro traveller
Barbara C6 is amazing as well. The free Res to full health while off-field is fantastic, especially if you out Clams on her. Also, she's perfect for fighting Baptist.

I recently got Kokomi from her latest re-run banner but that only made me realize more just how much I still rely on Barbara in most cases. I'm still waiting for my C6 Barbara to come home
If you pair her with Kuki, and DMC flower is up, she can just stand there and hug the enemies mobbing her and everything dies LOL attacking not even needed.

I used a pure healer clam set build for bloom The bloom dmg isnt good but I found that offensive builds made it hard to survive so more survivability = more dmg in general since less worries about dying
I was surprised how much I am using characters I previously benched because of dendro and Nahida's release. Barbara is now a mainstay in some of my main dendro teams even if I have a Kokomi since I find that the mobile healing helps improve survivability as opposed to the fixed AOE of the Kokomi's Kuragi. I have not tried having her onfield yet though. Will experiment on this.
I remember when I didn't have any hydro's besides barbara, and since I was wanting to run hyperbloom I was forced to run her with her skill, and I didn't have any good hyperbloom electros, so I used keqing for proc hyperblooms
Barbara certainly got some much needed use cases thanks to dendro. Additionally with the release of Candace, Barbara is no longer the worst hydro character in the game (though hydro is such a good element that even Candace isn't "bad"). Considering the trend of making new 4*s progressively more niche or mediocre since 2.0 I would guess that by the time we get to Natlan Barbara will be comfortably right in the middle of hydro units.
My lvl 60 Barbara helped me pushed through abyss so i could use Kokomi on the other half. Only got 34 stars, but whatever cause this is only the 2nd time I finished it so I'm happy enough with it for now :)
Barbara's passive increase her E duration and c2 reduce the CD, so you can have a little as 7 sec CD for her E. I've been using her since the day I got her, she was a very cheaply built healer, 25k hp, lvl70, c2 and all lvl0 Maiden's was enough for the healing, now I got a very good Clam set and she's in a freeze team with Ayaka, the hydro application on contact was irreplaceable and she has stamina reduction, in co-op she does 16k physcial dmg every few seconds

Yep love Barbara AR 60 and she's still part of my main team plus healing is far much more enjoyable than shield kuz i still dodge incoming attacks and when hit i get heals and her singing idle is cute
I use her with my Cyno quickbloom team. She uses ttds which Beidou can snapshot. I have her at c6 but it doesn't seem to proc reliably. I know there's a 15 min cool down but it doesn't seem to proc even if 15 mins have passed.
i'm literally on the verge of tears cause i don't have a good team to finish domains and challenges 😭 i'm so glad i found this vid, i can safely say i'd focus on my barbara and collei more later on, moreover when i unintentionally reached sumeru this early. IMO, I still use vaporize Barbara because I feel as though it fits me best. But dendro really buffed a lot of characters that were unpopular among the DPS category, so atleast they can get some love and recognition >:D
I have a c6 Barbra level 90. She is actually amazing when you have this. At c6 she can revive 1 character every 3 mins. Only character that can revive!
Raiden (EM/Crit build), Nahida (EM Build), Xingqiu (Crit Build), Barbara (EM Build). Hyperbloom team. Fairly easy team to run around with to clear content. Even without bursts they work well. Nahida skill + Raiden skill + Xingqiu skill + Barbara skill... then just run around using Charged Attack from a safe distance without going near using Barbara. Raiden's skill will keep triggering electro damage, while Nahida will keep the Dendro application for an extended period of time, Xingqiu is a fail safe, but Barbara is the main hero here. She can keep a safe distance and just use her basic and charge attack and just watch all the Bloom Cores explode or turn Hyperbloom. For exploration or if I don't want to take much damage, I replace Xingqui with Xianyun. Her plunge attacks and bursts are perfect for buffing, healing, and crowd control.
Lol every weekly world boss reset I always start co-op and always using barbara to lessen the K.O./ fail of boss fight and get on with the weapon billets RNG drops faster on mondays and log out 😅😅. Watched this Barbara build just to update her healing since I'm still using her Maiden Beloved sets and wanna try the new healing set 😁👌

Only does bothering is she's too easy to get her constellations during rate up banners. I've seen a lot of jokers bullying her cons.

When I started out playing Genshin I REALLY struggled with the fire-type mobs that were weak to Hydro, Xingqiu simply would NOT come home. Because I had only one Hydro character and had no interest in Childe's rerun at the time, I built DPS Barbara out of spite and her charged attack-Vaporize multipliers + healing carried all the way to end-game.
I personally don't like Bloom's playstyle, but Hyperbloom/Fridge seems like a new fun way to play her.

I've been using Barbara with Dendro MC, Raiden, and either Sucrose or Zhongli since getting into Sumeru, and it's a really fun team. Thanks for some ideas on how to tweak Barbara a little more. Good to see she's not being slept on.
Ever since I started Genshin, I always have Barbara leveled up and part of my main party. She carried me and make sure to support my dps and sub dps on their roles. I am not Barbara main, but she always have a place with my exploration team.
To be honest, she owns the 1st 5* banner signature weapon and i made sure to own it for her.
I use Ningguang for shield and damage, Barbara for constant healing, Gaming and Fischl for elemental reaction damage (also with Barbara and Fischl) makes things a lot easier in terms of fighting long boss battles or even when being ganged up on
I'm curious right now on the debate between Qiqi and Barbara now that Dendro is out.
I think the two are now effectively tied in viability. Qiqi is a much better flex healer and since she is able to max out the bubbles damage from Ocean Hued Clam when off field, has more consistent damage compared to Barbara.
Barbara of course can now be used in Dendeo teams and as Sevy says is able to get good reaction damage from blooms.
One key thing I want to point out is that Barbara is almost completely outclassed by Kokomi while Qiqi is only somewhat outclassed by Diona (the cat girl has worse healing and raw damage, but her skill particle generation, shield, and EM buff at C6 more then make up for it).
If I had to choose, I would still choose Qiqi as the better option overall. Around 1% better which is not statistically significant.
I can understand arguments that Barbara is the clearly better choice however. It kinda speaks to how underwhelming Qiqi is as a 5* character.
Funny how people shitted on Barbara but yet when Corrosion first hit Abyss they didn’t have any healer and scrambled to build her

i just started an account that only uses the 8 F2P characters and doesn't wish, with the exception of the first 10 pull on the beginner banner. I got Sucrose and Razor from that 10 pull but I don't use them as they aren't guaranteed, although I do use sucrose's crafting passive because it's purely a QoL thing (and sometimes bring her out for anemo puzzles so i don't have to swap the traveller's element)
This guide is incredibly handy as I plan to make a bloom comp that centers around barb, collei, and dendro traveller
Barbara C6 is amazing as well. The free Res to full health while off-field is fantastic, especially if you out Clams on her. Also, she's perfect for fighting Baptist.

I recently got Kokomi from her latest re-run banner but that only made me realize more just how much I still rely on Barbara in most cases.

He E skill wet application finally has something it works well with. The Idea that Barbra has to Hug enemies to get the most dendro cores is funny.
If you pair her with Kuki, and DMC flower is up, she can just stand there and hug the enemies mobbing her and everything dies LOL attacking not even needed.

I used a pure healer clam set build for bloom
The bloom dmg isnt good but I found that offensive builds made it hard to survive so more survivability = more dmg in general since less worries about dying
I was surprised how much I am using characters I previously benched because of dendro and Nahida's release. Barbara is now a mainstay in some of my main dendro teams even if I have a Kokomi since I find that the mobile healing helps improve survivability as opposed to the fixed AOE of the Kokomi's Kuragi. I have not tried having her onfield yet though. Will experiment on this.

I remember when I didn't have any hydro's besides barbara, and since I was wanting to run hyperbloom I was forced to run her with her skill, and I didn't have any good hyperbloom electros, so I used keqing for proc hyperblooms
Barbara certainly got some much needed use cases thanks to dendro. Additionally with the release of Candace, Barbara is no longer the worst hydro character in the game (though hydro is such a good element that even Candace isn't "bad"). Considering the trend of making new 4*s progressively more niche or mediocre since 2.0 I would guess that by the time we get to Natlan Barbara will be comfortably right in the middle of hydro units.
Wait! If you would take Candace going together with Barbara. Which artifacts would giving for both?
My lvl 60 Barbara helped me pushed through abyss so i could use Kokomi on the other half. Only got 34 stars, but whatever cause this is only the 2nd time I finished it so I'm happy enough with it for now :)
Barbara's passive increase her E duration and c2 reduce the CD, so you can have a little as 7 sec CD for her E. I've been using her since the day I got her, she was a very cheaply built healer, 25k hp, lvl70, c2 and all lvl0 Maiden's was enough for the healing, now I got a very good Clam set and she's in a freeze team with Ayaka, the hydro application on contact was irreplaceable and she has stamina reduction, in co-op she does 16k physcial dmg every few seconds

I use her in Ayaka freeze teams since she instantly freezes opponents when using Ayakas sprint.

In very early of the game, I accidentally got C6 Barbara!! I really hate this before!
But since now we got Dendro element, I can think Barbara is more playable now.
Yep love Barbara AR 60 and she's still part of my main team plus healing is far much more enjoyable than shield kuz i still dodge incoming attacks and when hit i get heals and her singing idle is cute

I use her with my Cyno quickbloom team. She uses ttds which Beidou can snapshot. I have her at c6 but it doesn't seem to proc reliably. I know there's a 15 min cool down but it doesn't seem to proc even if 15 mins have passed.

IMO, I still use vaporize Barbara because I feel as though it fits me best. But dendro really buffed a lot of characters that were unpopular among the DPS category, so atleast they can get some love and recognition >:D
I have a c6 Barbra level 90. She is actually amazing when you have this. At c6 she can revive 1 character every 3 mins. Only character that can revive!
...and a C6 Barbs mean I have life insurance for anyone unlucky enough to die via cores 😆

Raiden (EM/Crit build), Nahida (EM Build), Xingqiu (Crit Build), Barbara (EM Build). Hyperbloom team. Fairly easy team to run around with to clear content. Even without bursts they work well. Nahida skill + Raiden skill + Xingqiu skill + Barbara skill... then just run around using Charged Attack from a safe distance without going near using Barbara. Raiden's skill will keep triggering electro damage, while Nahida will keep the Dendro application for an extended period of time, Xingqiu is a fail safe, but Barbara is the main hero here. She can keep a safe distance and just use her basic and charge attack and just watch all the Bloom Cores explode or turn Hyperbloom. For exploration or if I don't want to take much damage, I replace Xingqui with Xianyun. Her plunge attacks and bursts are perfect for buffing, healing, and crowd control.

Lol every weekly world boss reset I always start co-op and always using barbara to lessen the K.O./ fail of boss fight and get on with the weapon billets RNG drops faster on mondays and log out 😅😅. Watched this Barbara build just to update her healing since I'm still using her Maiden Beloved sets and wanna try the new healing set 😁👌
