- We took a trip to a fairly local patch of ours in Sussex in search of the beautiful Barn Owl! We've set ourselves the exciting goal of trying to see all 5 British species of owl this year and this is the second one off our list!

Beautiful and relaxing. Ibwould reallly love to see great gray owls. Saw short eared owls for my first time this year and they were pretty amazing

This is a lovely experience you have shared. I'm in the same local area.
On Friday, I sat on the path there for an hour, watching the golden light fade as my legs went numb! Barny finally showed up and flew along the path towards me but it was too dark for the camera. Very frustrating but still exciting to watch. Another flew over my head in my torch light on the walk back. Next season I think..

Wow awesome footage! Glad yall were able to see this so close 🤍 my favorite is the saw whet and flammulated but i havent seen either one 😅. Plenty of great horned, barred, and screech owls here where i live

What a lovely film. The video work is amazing. We are super lucky to have barn owls and tawny owls in the trees in our garden. We provided them a home/box and it’s taken nearly two years but this year we were rewarded with 5 barn owlets in the box. We have cameras inside and out but can’t ever capture the dusk flying our kit isn’t good enough. They are mesmerising to watch. Love to get a Barn Owl, just in the last few day I got a Long eared owl with owlets. Amazing experience
Wow Mark we are very jealous 😅 the LEO is the one owl neither of us have even seen let alone photographed or filmed! Hoping we can still find one by the end of the year 😀
@@AWilderLife This is the first time I have managed to get the long eared 🦉. Shorties we have a few in our area we can get regularly. Barn owls that is a hole other story, not very many up here . Keep up the good work . Great video

Great video, super footage of the Barn Owls, we only have two native species in Ireland, Barn Owl and Long Eared Owl, both of which i've seen and photographed, then we have our seasonal visitor, the Short Eared Owl, that I've also been lucky to photograph
