- This is the 2nd last episode of our Konkan, Coastal Maharashtra series. Sawantwadi is popular for wooden toys and Moti lake, which is in heart of the city.
We started Konkan tour on 17th Sept and reached Goa on 2nd October, This particular episode was shot on 1st October.
Though Sawantwad is not part of Coastal Maharashtra but we still went there because we wanted to explore Sawantwadi in Sindhudurg district.
In this episode you will also see that we went to Amboli, which is part of Western Ghat, many people visit Amboli waterfall, we also visited that fall.
Following are the activities we did during this day as part of our journey of 1st October 2021.
Hotel - We stayed at Hotel Mango in Sawantwadi.
Chandu Bhawan -Breakfast Rs 50 for Poori Bhaji & Malpua - Rs 20 per pc.
Rajwada/Sawantwadi Palace - 5 min walking distance from Sawantwadi market.
Moti lake - Just Opposite to Rajwada.
Mango cocktail at a shop opp. Crawford market - Rs 90 per glass.
There are 10 to 15 Wooden toy shops, which are in Sawantwadi market.
Lunch at Malwani days - Fish Thali - Rs 380
Sweet Chanak fry - Rs 320 per piece.
Banana slice - Rs 120,
Dhondus - Rs 30
Amboli Waterfall - Quite popular waterfall.
Aranaya amboli - Rs 2000 double occupancy, only bsnl sim works here. 5 km from Amboli waterfall.

Come to Konkan and experience the real beauty. Normally people from Delhi visit Goa for sea beach, but Konkan is also better option for sightseeing and sea beaches.

Good to know info regarding Sawantwadi and kudos to you for bringing the royal family on the show and thanks to them for making time to show us their culture and plans. Hope to get a chance to stay at their boutique hotel. The food looked great but with episode 15 it has become a bit monotonous now. BTW Harish Sir we missed the reaction of you in the waterfall, cause that reaction is always priceless.

Superb series Harish bhai, i had celebrate my anniversary in dapoli last week , i stayed in nisarg resort , what an beautiful place and wonderful experience to stay in tent house in resort. such a beautiful place to stay and awesome food also, thank you for your wonderful episode that makes me inspired to go to kokan tour. I had visited dapoli, velneshwar, headvi, guhagar, and ganpati pule.
