- This is 12th episode of our 15 day Konkan tour, we started our journey of Coastal Mahrashtra from Mumbai, explored Raigad district, then Ratnagiri distric then we finally reached Sindhudurg district.
Following are the details of the places visited by us -
Tarkarli - Sindhudurg district - MTDC resort room tariff Rs 2500
Breakfast - Ghar midbhavkar -homestay - we had Ghavan & Modak at this place.
Sindhdurg fort visit - rs 90 per person rate for boat journey to and fro.
Malvan market - we bought khaja and mango pulp from Sapdekar shop
MTDC scuba center Tarkarli - we had lunch at this place
MTDC scuba information - we gained information regarding scuba at this scuba center.

Fantastic episodes, full of knowledge & adventure.. Indulkar was best architecture in 17th century and also a shivbhakt... Building forts inside sea is big task. Rainwater harvesting concept was used in 17th century.. Wow. Chhatrapati shivaji maharaj is well known as father of indian navy... The bhawani sword was gifted by maa tulja bhawani to maharaj.

Namaste Harish ji. Long back when we were posted in Goa... We ventured this place in January 2005 (just after 2004 Indian ocean tsunami . That time this place was undiscovered GEM. (vengurla, tarkerli, sindhu durg, amboli. Beautiful beautiful place. We stayed in home stay and tested local food. For vegetarians (options r very less) but yes.... Konkani, malvani vegetarian food... Very tasty. Modak (munh mai pani) 😋. Recollected all my memories... And felt good. Fort view(watch tower) is very beautiful. In rainy season, konkan is mesmerizing. Sir, aapne khush ker diya vegetarian lunch ke sath thecha 😋Harish ji, waiting for your upcoming (Nagaland episode) thanks for sharing harish ji. Have a rocking tour ahead. God bless. 🙏

Nicely captured the beauty of Sindhudurg Fort. Arial view was awesome. It's a unique architectural thing of forts of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj that the entrance is built in S shape.

You missed the Mahadev mandir from fort which has a well inside the temple itself. From that well there is secret tunnel which goes from below the sea bed and emerges out at a point which is 5km away from Malvan town.

Hello Harish Sir, amazing episode with full of knowledge, nice scenic views of ocean & beaches. The food you explore was too good especially I also got interested to try Masala Ghavan, with coconut chutney & coconut milk but not only that the menu you had for your lunch looks well prepared & good variety. The most important part of this episode that touches my heart was Great Shivaji's temple and his sword but sorry to say that Britishers took his sword to London which I didn't like it was our nation's legacy and should be placed in Indian museum as an honor.

However you have not mentioned the conditions of roads you traveled. Please share the reality then one can decide whether to undertake the journey. Also the total expenses from starting point in Mumbai till the end including diesel used in litres.
1:50 a village farm look(place) with no pollution and with that background sound of birds is awesome and gives a great sukoon shanti and khushmijaj wala feeling.
