A huge part of my childhood was spent watching this movie, my grandmother had taken the liberty of recording it when it was on that Super Sunday. Man, good times.
If Bigfoot & the Muscle Machines should ever be rebooted, especially for a full TV series, they would have no choice but to use the new modern Bigfoot 4x4 and new modern monster trucks. (Like Spider-Man for example.) But they can't use the old 80's trucks. They won't attract a young audience. Plus Yank Justice, Red, Redder, Professor Dee, Close McCall, Jennifer McGraw, Adrian Ravenscroft, and Ernie Slye can still be in it. Good Idea?
The sad irony of this cartoon is that its central character and 'hero' Yank Justice ends up totally destroying the Fountain of Youth which he was supposedly meant to protect. You can almost sympathise and feel sorry for Adrian Ravenscroft. He wanted eternal youth. The one thing, despite his huge wealth, he couldn't buy. He managed to drink from the Fountain to regain the youth he so wanted. After that duel with Justice & Big Foot. Yank smugly says "The bigger they are the harder they crash" Enraged by this Ravenscroft recovers and pulls his Roll Royce out of the ruins of the Fountain of Youth and presses down on the accelerator pedal, he's full of anger and revenge now needing to take out Justice in revenge drives at full speed towards him. but unfortunately doesn't manage to hit him. The area is littered with booby traps laid by the Spanish. As he drives at Justice one of the traps gets activated. A Canon pulls up out of the ground then fires directly at the back of the Rolls Royce blowing up the rear window and injuring Ravenscroft who looses control, giving Justice and co enough time to run clear before Ravenscroft smashes into the wall and topples over. He flees the scene in disgrace and pitifully screams back at Yank Justice and Friends "I will have revenge" The healing powers then start to ware off.
THANK YOU!!! This story really makes no sense! (A) We never understood what made Adrian such a bad guy. (B) Jennifer comes off as someone who couldn't mind her own business. (C) If she was trying to hide the map, why did she lead Adrian to it? (D) Out of spite, Yank destroys a world treasure? (E) What made Adrian so bad just for looking for something many others would have? (F) It made NO SENSE that the healing powers started to wear off. (G) If the writers had had any last bit of intelligence, they would have let Adrian run away, completely healed, and thus leave the door open for a sequel. "Inhumanoids" did! after Season 1!

Now I want a GI Joe/Transformers crossover where Bigfoot is one of the Transformers. Frank Welker would be a busy man in those episodes.
80's epic! Still better than today's cartoons and that animation...oh my!
