I was about 10 or 11 when this season aired and it was the first one I watched live. When I tell you I was OBSESSED with this season like they were my actual friends/family lol! They were infectious - it’s no wonder they’re the most successful Top 12 (as a whole) in the show’s history. I’ll never forget how heartbroken Ayla was when she got eliminated, the popularity of Kellie and Chris throughout the country. I think it’s a crime that we never got to see Mandisa and Lisa do Queen week :( they would’ve thrived.

I completely agree with this! Fever is so underrated. I ran a poll back in 2006 right after this season ended on a fansite or forum or something and had people rank all 156 performances from this season from 1-10 and I got hundreds of responses. Fever was in 2nd place and Katharine's Over the Rainbow (Top 3) was 1st. People remembered it back then but I guess it's been forgotten sadly over the years.
Chris Daughtry’s performance of Hemorrhage and Renegade were hands down his BEST. I truly think Hemorrhage propelled his career to superstardom. He could’ve gone home THAT next night and he would’ve been equally as successful. I read that “It’s Not Over” was written based on the sound of that performance.
thank you for including the FIRST time Katherine did "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree"(in the top 5) at #12. The 2nd time she did it, in the finals, it sucked.
Still salty about the Anwar exclusion 😢 his performance of "What a Wonderful World" was easily top 5 of season 4 for me. Glad Elliott got the love he deserved though!

How Chris, Elliott, Mandisa, and Paris all lost to Taylor Hicks is a mystery to me. Arguably, Mandisa should have won the season, Chris should have come in second (that would have been a HECK OF A SHOW. I mean, come on.), Elliott in third, Paris in fourth, and probably Katharine in fifth.
In my opinion, Katharine McPhee’s performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” is the greatest performance in the history of “American Idol,” including modern-day “American Idol.”

I agree! Criminally underrated. But no one remembers it, so I'm not surprised it didn't show up in this video.
