You know what they says... first the worst, second the best, third the one with a hairy chest, 4th is the golden engineer!!
well, ideally you don't want to go with the first three engineers, because the fourth one will somehow find a way to have lower costs and less time restraints than the first three, who usually want to maximize costs and increase time delays. They'll do engineering, they're just greedy and unrealistic. Engineers that are humble, but still follow code, are always better. It's like finding a good mechanic, but this time, it's for help designing a city or a new building, retrofitting an old building, stress testing, and all sorts of things on a more macro scale...and finding someone who won't screw over massive projects / macro scale projects, is probably difficult.
It's basically one of the best professions you can have. Engineer, lawyer, doctor, probably the top 3 of most realistically achievable professions. Astrophysicists, Biochemists, and I'll say the last high paying group that is more difficult to get into, would be sports or entertainment
Below that are your trade jobs: electricians, plumbers, carpenters, welders, etc.,
Below that are people that specialize in more specific areas
In some places with not many or no building codes, the lead engineer will just do whatever works, even if it's dangerous, because they need it working as soon as possible, otherwise they lose money. They'll even go against building code, but you don't want that engineer, because they'll get you in trouble by trying to get around problems.

I like that there are levels that have you design for optimization and quality instead of forcing low-cost as the winning metric all the time.
It makes every level so much different. You're not just going: "Okay, that's the cheapest!" for 50 hours

It has come to a point where you can remove the "Speed" in Speed limits completely in my hometown.... the rising temperature with its mordor-like temperatures and crawling through town already scares the s*** out of me. 30kph (~18.6 MPH) policy since the beginning of this year in the whole town area. Standard would have 50kph (~31 MPH)
And Bike or Walk isn't an option as my health condition isn't the best. Need additional Oxygen. And Public Transport is a no-no because of the amount of people and the infection risk.

They aren't directly tackling issues like unsafe roads, or anything like that, they are indirectly tackling that stuff because the people that set the objectives have ulterior motives.

I think more langueges should die out. I rather have fewer. One would be best, but i would settle for like 10 or 20 in the world.
It would make communication so much easyer.
And for the culture and knowledge. Just write everything down and store it in a safe way.
And i am not hypocriet. I happy sacrifce my own langueges(dutch) if it means we get less langueges.
I see langueges as tools. And just like tools. Its better to have a few good standards instead many.
