- Lucy travels to Japan to visit her shoe sponsor ASICS and take part in some testing of the new racing shoes which are currently in development.
As well as a busy day at the Institute of Sport Science, she also got to visit the main headquarters, explore Kobe and Kyoto, try some of the local cuisine, and of course do some running exploration in the city.

I have worn ASICS for both road and trail for over 20 years. They have consistently worked well for my narrow feet and running style. Never have had any shoe related problems. Hearing your positive stories about your inside experience with ASICS has me feeling even more loyal. Safe travels

2:19 Fun fact: The letters that she passed spells the name of the town for the foreigners but if you see em as Cyrillic alphabets it says (vekove) in bulgarian which means centuries. I'm really diggin' the white outfit and it looks good on Lucy. Asics's team and HQ seems to be lit! I just got more hooked up on the brand. Can't wait see what they come out with
Japan is a cool culture to visit. You are a natural in front of the camera. There are a lot of editing, but your presence and charm comes through.

Last month I bought my first pair of asics running shoes and within a week I was super glad of the choice I made.
After using of Sketchers and Nike 6-7 years, I'm glad of this change and I've become だいfan of asics shoes.

so fascinating! i was sort of stuck on a few models of shoes from other brands that just worked for me and i never bothered branching out because i was just comfortable. it was your content that inspired me to try out a model from asics and i was so blown away. i've since added 2 pairs of asics to my rotation (3 total, including my marathon, race day shoe) and am so stoked on the brand, products and quality. thanks for inspiring me to try something new and hats - so fun to see the process at asics HQ which adds another layer of appreciation to the brand! cheers!

What a fascinating trip you had in Japan! I remember when the Kayano came out and it was a sensation! I hope Asics continues to keep some neutral shoes in their line up. Glad you got to swim and run in a new place-it's such great way to see the world (pool by pool, street by street!)

What an exciting experience that must have been partly with the exclusive Asics visit but also seeing a little glimpse of a very different country and culture. I used to live and work in South Korea some years ago but never got to visit Japan, unfortunately.

It's incorrect in "standard English" (whatever that means) but is common in certain dialects.

i love asics design; however, it is disappointed to see they don't think about the shape of our feet. Our feet were never designed to be squished into a round toe box. as a result, the big toe caves inward, causing most people to develop bunions and not allowing the big toe to absorb impact and propel the foot forward. Altra and Vivo are great running shoes that are designed anatomically correctly.
More shoes and sport, less lifestyle stuff. Also, a shorter intro please. This was a lot of fluff.

Loved this vlog! Been wearing Gel Kayanos off and on for 10 years now, so amazing to see Mr Kayano himself. Can't find a supplier in Lanzarote but had the 30s brought over this year and omg they are amazing. So if you helped to shape these, thank you! 😃🥳🩷
