I'm praying that they bring 8+ carriage trains into the game, so that the stations with 9-12 car markers will actually serve a purpose. Thank you SCR devs for bringing this game back to life again.

It might actually become useful now. At around 1:12, you can see that there is an express class 800 at Raleigh Bay. This is a train that can switch between electric and diesel power, and since the new branch is diesel only, it would switch to electric power once it leaves the diesel only branch, meaning raising the pantograph. In the clip it did show the pantograph button was unselectable, but since this is a class 168 (diesel only), it could not change to electric power meaning there is no pantograph.
In 3.0 maybe... along with mesh tracks and working cabs (the electric trains still don't have their pantographs raised under wires in the video)

This trailer invigorates me and triggers my sight sensors. The sight of intricate fences decorated in the Stepford Connect blue is a very nice look, as well as the platform at Carnalea Bridge, giving the station a background and story. This also implies that the station is based off somewhere in the UK. A class one five six unit manufactured by the Metropolitan Cammell Carriage and Wagon Company is situated at the station, departing for Edgemead, which can imply that this is a new station, not a rebuild, due to the station appearing to have one platform, which eliminates Stepford Central, Edgemead, and Leighton Stepford Road. The CIS in the centre-left has vaguely visible text, reading 'Welcome to something Bay', which, looking at the text glyphs, could spell Rayleigh.

It's a deasil line becouse the new track we've seen only has deasil trains (the 801 was there but thit has deasil power in IRL)

just leaving this comment to say that I was there at the premiere watching this fabulous trailer for 2.0
I’m annoyed there was no release date, but this was still one of the best Trailers I’ve seen
Okay. The update is good. The acceleration and braking mechanics at first may seem worse, but once you get used to it it's actually good.
My only complain, is that the timetables are unfair. I know it's based of UK railways, but come on. The current timetable makes trains late on purpose. The new acceleration and braking mechanic shows it.
My only solution to this would be making the bare minimum time to travel between stations to 2 minutes. Also, could there be more speed limit warning triangles?

We have been through 13 minor updates since.
Now, on the 9th August 2024, we will finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

Ive got a theory and if im right, 2.0 is releasing today. To explain it, we must go back to the 27th of august, 2022. At 16: 29, that day the devs published a sneak peek showing 1.10.0's trailer. And 4 hours later, 1.10.0 went live. Now with 2.0.0's trailer, i believe this update is coming out just a few hours after this trailer goes live. Its not confirmed though, but if it is, this is a day worth remembering in SCR history.
Edit: yes i was wrong, stepford zone already told me 💀. Anyway my new theory is that the update is going to be in the weekend, because all major updates since 1.8 have been on weekends. if not this one, then the next one

Still no working pantographs bruh. The devs showed screenshots of the new GUI in December and yet can't mesh tracks. Does it really take 2 years for a new signalling system?
Bruh they didn't had enough time to do that + Revamping the current tracks takes ages
@Noobilities It's been 2 years, bruh, since the last real update. Other games have meshed tracks and more realistic scenery by now. Maybe SCR devs need to spend more time on the game or hire new people to even out the workload? idk just improve
