nice video. Anyway you can fly further away from the trees I see clearing beyond your yard looks like great flying spot.

Nice reference to the peanuts gang... Plane eating tree sounds good.

One problem with running high speed on 4 cell is there is a big air opening in the front of the fuselage, but nowhere for that air to go. You may likely blow one of the magnetic doors off at high speed like BuddyRC did on the Challenger. I have my Challenger ready for the field and am looking forward to maiden.

Good point about nowhere for the air to go. Guess I’ll have to cut a vent somewhere! 🤣

Ben, rough crash, but considering everything, you got very lucky. I am sure that you will get that thing flying again soon. You definitely need a larger space though, preferably away from trees. Cheers.

The main problem was that rudder trim was not set r8 wrt thrust line....So plane was pulling right on increasing throttle
the 2nd issue was flaps needed to be mixed with down elevator
The pilot throughout the flight had hardly an control over the plane. Torque & thrust line of the motor was defining plane trajectory - typical of 3D plane flown on prop

Well... As an old and wise man once said... Shit happens. 😬
But it flies pretty well, Ben! Great flying and review! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I'm an expert at doing "tree" landings. I have to be especially careful if I've been flying a small plane for a bit and then switch to flying a larger model.. Messes up my depth perception. That and having a lot of trees on my property.

    • @RCPlaneAddict

Anyone who has been flying knows how that feels. Trees really hate planes.

Ive loved this plane so much I have bought 3 of them.. after the first one crashed I had to get another but its the non-flap version..so now the flap version is back in stock I just bought a new one of those as well..both are green, the first one was same color as yours. Im running an admiral rx600 with gyro rx in the non flap version and a spektrum ar9350 rx in the flap version. i really want to set up crow with the ailerons and flaps. This is one of the best flying planes for the price its worth it. Thanks for sharing!

Mine is blue, they fly great on 3S and will go full aero' on it. I got her on preorder early, but the footage was eaten by a bad mico sd. Joy to fly, more sport than "STOL," tons of fun. Great vid!

Make a bird feeder for each tree that eats a plane and keep tally on the side like war planes marking their kills on the plane.

Cool flight, good powerful engine. It's a pity for the broken face, after buying a new one, you need to make a matrix from it in order to make homemade products from fiberglass and epoxy resin and break at least every day))

just look for OMPHOBBY BIGHORN 49 Pro on aliexpress ... Now everyone is too lazy to do it yourself, it's easier to resell Chinese and get a margin.
and if it's retail, I think where you can buy in bulk and the final price will be like in usa. And the Chinese will paint you any color and draw any logo. just to sell.
