Sorry to say, but Kenny is the best option between the two of them. I could see that while Jane seemed to be the most kept together, she also seemed the most manipulative (hell, the baby was fine and even with Kenny exposed, she didnt stopped the fight...she wanted to kill Kenny soo she wouldnt have to deal with him anymore.)
I know Kenny would die to save Clem and AJ, but I cant see Jane doing the same. He proved that while he is flawed, he truly loves Clem and AJ more than himself. I am sorry Jane fans, but the Kenny endings are also better for AJ and Clem (and much more emotional too, in the good way).

I personally shot Kenny because I cared for him. He seemed to be going through so much, and thinking AJ died was what did him in. Thought so too, so in a way, I put Ken out of misery. When I found the baby, though, I abandoned Jane. If you've seen the ending, you'll see why.

I don't prefer Clemy being alone, but I (obviously) didn't know that the baby was still alive, and that's the ending I got. I would honestly prefer Clemy to be with Kenny, but I'm sticking with the ending I got.

      @@Piloe
Since you asking, it's not so much about saving Jane or Kenny.
Both are people she knows at that point. It's about Clementine.
Remember you play the character Clementine but you are not Clementine yourself.
Meaning Clementine can't know Jane staged all this. She didn't read the script.
Clementine sees 2 people fighting to the death.
From her perspective Kenny (once again) goes on a murderous rampage, it's no "ah it's just kenny situation" anymore. After the Lodge, Carver and Arvo it's the third time he goes seriously nuts on people. In fact counting season 1 in it's even more. The only reason someone might accept that is when said someone is not the target himself/herself. But imagine you are Kennys target for once.
Losing AJ would be bad of course but the death penalty honestly seems way to much.
So Clementine either intervenes or she looks away during a straight up rage murder.
A difficult decision no doubt. Still i can't see Clementine accepting murder like that.
It's not like she can't do that at all but the context here is really fckd up.
I mean even Kenny says that Clementine was right to stop him if she intervenes since he clearly lost control.
On top i might add that the narrative of the entire season builds up to this climax.
Kenny descends more and more into his own hell with him mutating into a murder machine at the end.
But i guess everyone has their own take on this.
Still for me this climax is the reason why Clementine becomes this survivalist loner in Season 3 that don't trust people.

@@Raffney Yes Kenny went a bit too far, but Jane was definitely in the wrong. And from Clem's perspective it seemed almost obvious she was up to something given that she goes from supposedly grieving the loss of AJ to "watch what he does, you'll see the real him" in a matter of seconds.
Also, if you actually lose a child in that storm why would you walk away without trying to save him? We (Kenny and Clem) already knew Jane was high on self preservation, so who's to say leaving a baby is out of her comfort zone. The only time she tries to save anyone is with Sarah and that's because Clem demanded it.
Also when Kenny confronts her she's aggressive instead of vulnerable, if she was actually responsible for a child's death I doubt she would be so assertive in defending herself.
What Kenny said was true, she was literally looking for a fight and put a baby's life at risk to do so.
Kenny is perfectly aware that he's not the best option to protect Clem and AJ but he's arguably better than Jane who has shown she can't be depended on as she's left the group two or three times by the end.
And as for letting Kenny kill her, it might hurt to watch but it's deserved just like with Carver. The only time I recall Kenny acting out in Season One was when his son was dieing and he found out who really caused all of it, both understandable situations. The Arvo beating felt way out of character for Kenny, or at least the insults of his Russian heritage. I feel it was a desperate attempt to make Kenny seem way unstable so we don't trust him by the time you choose between him and Jane, but considering what everyone went through one mental breakdown near the end doesn't seem like a lot and shouldn't make Kenny a monster especially considering what Arvo's group caused.

I only found Jane to be likeable most of the time, but what she did was idiotic, and not to mention the fact that she takes herself out, when she realises she is pregnant. In the end, the only one she looks out for will always be herself, and Kenny had her pegged from the start. I will side with Kenny. Now imagine if this fight would have been Luke vs Kenny. That would have been a damn tough decision.

Anyone notice that Kenny killed Jane in self-defense? Kenny tried to hit her, yes, and he pinned her to a wall, but she stabbed him with a knife after he tried to punch her. After that Kenny has to kill her as she continues to swing her knife at him trying to kill him, Kenny started the fight, but Jane made it to the death. We don’t know that Kenny would kill Jane if she hadn’t done that, maybe he would hurt her really bad , but we don’t if he’d actually kill her, Jane made it to the death, so Kenny had to kill her or be killed. #TeamKenny

Honestly, between Kenny and Jane, I always leave both of them. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kenny, and what Jane did was wrong, but Kenny was just as fucked up as Jane. He had already lost his entire family, which made him sad and angry. He snapped when Ben told him the truth and had been saying for days that he deserves to die. And yet he ends up saving him. This was the perfect way to end Kenny’s arc. Him forgiving Ben, understanding that anyone can be family. But no, he comes back in season 2, where he proceeds to lose Walter to Carver, loses his girlfriend to the walkers and then lashes out on Clem, the person he is the closet too and swears all the time that he will protect. Then, the rest of the group is so scared of him that they steal a truck, then Clem catches them where she gets shot, which ends her up with Kenny and Jane. Then they start screaming at each other and the fight escalates to the point where we are here, in the snow where Kenny is going to stab Jane. Think about it, what would you do if you were in this situation? Would you save the person that pretended to kill a baby so that she could prove a point, or would you save the person who has been lashing out on you and others for days, and is clearly out of control? You would obviously kill both of them, or at least leave them. In fact, if you shoot him or leave him after he kills Jane, he tells you that you made the right choice. The game wants you to leave him. In my original play through of the game I shot Kenny and left Jane to go alone. Now looking back, I believe the cannon ending is where you go to Wellington, and Kenny leaves. The ending where this clearly unstable man is out of your life, but you get to go into a hopefully safe group. But then season 3 happened, but we don’t talk about season 3 anyway.

    • @peanutmurgler
      @peanutmurgler 3 года назад +1

I would rather have the person who has never consistently lashed out at me or knowingly put me in danger, which is Kenny. Kenny, as fucked up as he is, cares for Clem and most definitely cares for AJ (can’t say the same for Jane). Everyone’s fucked up in the apocalypse, beggars can’t be choosers. And apparently Kenny’s alive in the actual canon since they kind of retconned everything for a Fatal Frontier lol

I personally choose Kenny over Jane; while both of them have their own pros and cons, Kenny's death in Season 3 was because he willingly sacrificed himself to buy Clementine and AJ time to escape safely, whereas in the end, Jane only actually cared about herself, and proves this when she commits suicide after finding out she was pregnant with Luke's child, and furthermore, she doesn't even TRY to help Sarah at all when cornered by walkers in the trailer, and she's reluctant to help Sarah after she falls and is trapped under debris from the observation deck collapsing, she only helps if Clementine tells her to or refuses to pull her up. So yeah, I prefered Kenny more than Jane, but honestly, Telltale could've made their death scenes less shitty; Kenny dies after being devoured by walkers when he's thrown through the windshield of a car that Clementine crashes, and Jane takes her own life because she couldn't bear the thought of raising a child in the apocalypse.

It's a miracle AJ managed to survive as a baby, but if Jane managed to birth that baby. They would have to search for supplies (which should be fairly easy considering they were at Howe's) but even then, if I remember correctly, they were slowly running out of supplies.
