I’m Italian and I live in rome, thank you for choosing this case! My opinion on this case might sound super strange, but I don’t think that the Vatican or the mafia had something to do with emanuela’s disappearance. Last year an Italian tv show called “chi l’ha visto?” (It talks about missing persons, basically the Italian version of America’s most wanted) reached out to a man who was questioned by the police at the time of emanuela’s disappearance because he was somehow linked to the case, police searched his house but nothing was found. He looks very similar to the sketch of a man who is wanted in emanuela’s case. To chi l’ha visto he admitted that he liked young girls. Chi l’ha visto also followed another lead: during the 80s a guy in his twenties was tricked by a polish man to do a movie, but when the guy showed up to actually film the movie he was drugged and raped to make pornography. The pictures of the rape were later published in a magazine and the guy took his own life. It was later discovered that A LOT of young girls in the city of Rome were approached by that same polish man who asked them to be a part in his movie. That group of girls included EMANUELA’S SISTER. Another girl who was approached by the man told chi l’ha visto that he took her against her will and he locked her somewhere. I actually think that that man might know something about emanuela. You have no idea how huge emanuela’s disappearance is in italy, especially in rome. It’s been going on for so many years that sometimes I think we will never know what happened to her... but his brother is not giving up on her.
Ladymcgaga 17 the situation is... bad. The whole country is in quarantine, we can’t leave our houses, it’s so crazy to be living something like this. But this is the only way to stop this fucking virus and we just want all of this to be over. Thanks for asking!
@@andreasolinas111 sorry to hear about what's going on with the virus in Italy. I hope you are ok. Thanks for the info regarding Emanuela. Very interesting but sad.
Poor Emanuela must have been so terrified! It's sickening how some vile humans feel compelled to destroy everything innocent and beautiful in the world.
I discovered this channel a few weeks ago and with this video I can now say I’ve officially watched every single one in the Midweek Mysteries playlist. It’s been fascinating and I’ve learned about so many cases that I’d never heard of. I keep recommending your channel to other people 👍
I would love to see you do a video on Margaret Fleming. She went missing in the town next to mine, Inverkip in Scotland, in 1999 but no one noticed until 2018. It’s technically solved and the bbc have just done a 2 part documentary on it. It’s very interesting and highlights how the system is failing people in need xx

Italy has some of the most horrific yet interesting murder and mystery cases I have ever heard. I live in a country where Italian TV is commonly broadcasted and the language can be easily learnt through watching these programmes (the majority of the country, that is) and not one day goes by without hearing of a missing and/or murdered person, which is sad and scary. The two cases that still give me the creeps from Italy are the death of Tommaso Onofri and the disappearance of Ylenia Carrisi (the latter is the daughter of two very famous Italian singers). It would be great if you covered one of these cases!

OK can I be honest? I was "obsessed" with this case in summer of 2019 when this whole thing blew up again! Italy has some fascinating as well as sad cases, solved and unsolved alike. Years before I became fascinated with the (solved) case of Elisa Claps. Makes me fascinated and a tad nervous to think how these extraordinary things have happenned so close to me!
yesssss new georgia video 💕💕 i’m surprised i’d never heard of this case until now, thank you for bringing light to so many foreign and lesser known cases, it’s so important to get info out there. love your videos sm georgia 🙏🏻
You should cover the Elisa Claps case (also linked to the church)! It was an old Italian case now resolved, and sadly it is connected to the death of Heather Barnett in England. I think you would do an amazing job connecting the two cases, because usually the Italian news only talks about Elisa Claps and the English news only talks about Heather Barnett, which makes kinda sense, but it would be nice to have them both in one video.
I got here after seeing the story on Yilenia's case :) Didn't know about this one. Quite interesting but there are so many possibilities one gets lost in details (though some theories sound quite far fetched). I like your style, keep up the good work!
Great job, extremely well documented and delivered in a precise yet concise manner. A lesson in effective reporting to all those pompous Italian journalists who for over 30 years have produced verbose and sensationalistic documentaries, each time announcing God knows what a historical turning point in the investigation, when they KNEW they had absolutely NOTHING NEW to offer to their viewers. Only two pieces of the puzzle seem to have been ascertained so far: Emanuela is dead, and she was kidnapped to be used as a bargaining chip. Her death was confirmed by Pope Francis himself: “Emanuela is in Heaven”, he told twice to Emanuela’s brother a few days after being elected pope, and has since refused any further contact with the Orlandis despite multiple request for a private meeting. As to what kind of blackmail the Church was subject to when Emanuela was abducted, that remains unresolved, just like the remaining 99% of this sad story. Her body was probably disposed of in an expeditious and definitive manner, such as cremation or dissolution in a strong acid, eg hydrochloric acid, certainly not buried in a crypt INSIDE THE VATICAN, which could never be accessed in an inconspicuous way. Can you guys imagine how many custodians, sacristans, nuns, friars, priests you would encounter while trying to make a HUMAN BODY disappear behind a slab of marble weighing a quarter of a ton inside a basilica in downtown Rome? Come on. We all like a good story, but criminals do not act that way. In conclusion, This was a great video, informative, balanced, no frills. Watch it. Five stars.
I must commend you for all of the work you put into this. I didn't know much about this case to be honest. My head is still spinning from the amount of information you provided. Maybe I need to watch this a couple more times...pretty sure I do. This is an odd one 🤯
Lots of shady stuff in Vatican City. I hope her family gets answers. On another note, I have a request: would consider covering the disappearance of Marita Verón in Argentina? I'm interested to see your perspective on that case.
Great video as always! Just want to correct one small detail: the Basilica of St Apollinare where De Pedis was buried is the one in Rome, while the one showed in the picture is the one in the small town of Classe (north eastern Italy). I grew up in that town :) While you can hold funerals (as well as other religious functions) in there, and it serves as the "local church" basically, you cannot actually be buried in St Apollinre in Classe. It's on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its historical and artistic value. It's very beautiful! That's probably the reason why the picture showed up in your search results.
It was Valintio De Pedis who kidnapped Emanuele ..May 14th 2012 his Coffin was opened ..his face was the face of the kidnapper 35 years ago ..Her Brother made a documentary ..it's all in there
She was such a gorgeous girl ♥️. Know of this case through Stephanie harlowe’s channel but I live for Georgia’s midweek mysteries💕 can’t wait to hear Georgia’s take on it♥️
as a catholic myself, I really appreciate how respectfully you covered this case. the Catholic Church is a pretty sketchy organization, and I know that, and many people would have taken this opportunity to bash it.
There is no need to bash I think, the news in recent years which explain the catholic church's wrong doings already do that on it own. It is sad though, so many people believe in this religion and there is a lot of shit going down inside the church.
Reminds me of the book/movie "Angels & Demons". This is truly awful. I hope we can find out what happened to her one day, and that the people behind this can be held responsible.

Please cover the corona virus, I feel like you’d do such a good job and it’s so educational and important right now, people don’t know what’s going on please, explain what this virus is and how to avoid it
It is everywhere though. Simplifying(wrongly doing so) it COVID-19 is kind of a mutated flu. It attacks the lungs and turn into pneumonia or organ failure, that what kills people especially people with already bad immune system or other illnesses such as lung problems etc. Old age gets affected the most, well because of overall resistance of the body, for ex. 20 year old lungs or immune system is better than a 70 year old one. It is a virus so there are no antibiotics etc to use cause those are for bacteria. You can boost your immune system with vitamins etc. and avoid contact with people.Washing hands as much as possible is important apparently it destroys the outer part of the virus. The biggest problem is that first symptoms can start around 2 weeks so in that 2 weeks you think you are healthy and you are going around you are actually infected and you infect other people and they infect other people this results in an exponential growth in the amount of infected people. The virus also lives 72 hours on a surface which means you can avoid everyone but touch your face after touching somewhere outside and you are infected. I don't know if this helps but hope it does.
Love you!!! But may I ask are you a believer in like aliens not little green people but other life forms? It would be so interesting to hear your thoughts!!💗💗

Never heard of this case and the fact that not one girl but two are still missing and were probably murdered. Feel real bad for the family they were put through so much, and that wonderful brother still wanting to find out what happened to his sister. As a sister of two brothers and only one living ,sibling bonds are like no other. Personally I think the Vatican is hiding something, they are suppose to be celibate, I think the motive was to silence two girls that were being sexually abused within the church.
I just don't understand... Why prank call a grieving family? Humans are terrible. I am by no way comparing Emanuella or her family's grief to the grief I felt when I lost my cat. Their grief doesn't not even compare to mine ofcourse, theirs was/is much worse, but we did give our our phone number in case anyone saw my cat, and we were on the edge for days till we found him. Any phone ring or bell ring alarmed us and made our hearts beat fast.the anxiety I felt made me sleepless from thinking and worrying, and when I fell asleep, I would jolt up. So I cannot even imagine the pain and anxiety they felt about their own daughter whenever their was a call, but it turned out to be just some asshole. I wouldn't have been able to take any of it Tbh. The police are fuckin dumb for giving out that family's number.
It's a really upsetting case, for sure. I'm Polish and a Catholic. But church... no, not for me. However, I do hold John Paul II close to my heart and it saddens me that he could have been involved in Emanuela's disappearance in one way or another. I do hope the family gets their answers. It's heartbreaking...
I grew up watching JP2 every Sunday and he went to school with my grandad, it's hard to imagine that he woukd be involved in covering up things like that
@@thatsthat2612 Agreed. Interesting that people took my comment to mean what they wanted. It was just a quote and I happen to have a similar view point as Georgia's. Spirituality and religion are not inherently bad, but the Vatican specifically has a long history of corruption as most organizations do in history. The thing to point out with catholicism however is that corruption is still alive and well, just better hidden, unfortunately. This doesn't mean that the people who practice are as bad as the pedophiles, and I'm sure Georgia would agree. It's just hard to deny there are still serious problems in any organization like this. Hence, all the secrecy within would naturally produce a lot of suspicion and conspiracy theories. Also, it's important to remember that it is impossible for a person not to hold at least some sort of bias. That's just psychology. The important thing is the more aware of our biases we become, the more we can soften them and the less likely we are going to act on them.
@@frumtheground I'm Muslim, I grew up in my faith and there are many things that I would say are corrupt within some of our practices that are never talked about. Trust me, I have been forbidden not to talk about certain things some would find wrong. Just because you haven't heard about it doesn't mean there isn't a whole group covering up. Just my thoughts. @SheilaDMJ
Why was I even surprised that bad people can buy their way into a nice graves, don't see atheists overlooking immoral acts based on how charitable someone is or how much money they provide to overlook it, but sure organised religion who claims to own morality will do it for ya! Sound. Poor families affected by that man see him in that resting place omfg.

Of course the church is so willing to open up tombs... because they know where she really is, and it isn't there. its an illusion of cooperation.
i left your other video to watch this :)
i subbed you.great story.
A cool history video would be to cover the ZOOT SUIT RIOTS in LA.
Where is she now ?
Its scary such missing persons may be alive somewhere...made slave and put in dungeons...the victims lose their sanity and health.....sad
I already thought you were awesome, but then you said you were atheist and now you're even more awesome.

its so eery that there were reports of people seeing a girl who looked like her and played music and sold cosmetics
Can you do A video about Gabriel Fernandez case
Poor girl may be they scarified her
I also feel the same
I think there is something to do with masonic church
Sadly she has probably been killed by an unknown sexual predator. The others r just crazy people trying to something out of this tragic story.
I grew up watching JP2 every Sunday and he went to school with my grandad, it's hard to imagine that he woukd be involved in covering up things like that
I could have sworn this was a reupload.
Georgia: "Catholicism."
Ya noticed that too
Yeah, me too. Nothing like being unbiased!!!
@@chab1rd155 well no, its not bias is it? The catholic church has a long long history of covering things up to protect the church.
@SheilaDMJ
Sorry for my gramma ...you do god job .... ;)
I've never heard of this one b4. The church..... involved????! Shocked? Not really.

Never led anywhere because NARKINCUS died in 1986
💖💖💖✨✨✨
Why was I even surprised that bad people can buy their way into a nice graves, don't see atheists overlooking immoral acts based on how charitable someone is or how much money they provide to overlook it, but sure organised religion who claims to own morality will do it for ya! Sound. Poor families affected by that man see him in that resting place omfg.
