For you young ones thinking about getting into equipment repair be thankful for videos like this. I got out of trade school ready to set the heavy equipment mechanic field on fire. At 20 I quickly found out no one was hiring a equipment mechanic under 35, the old guys didn’t want to train anyone. Be glad people like Warren are happy to share info for FREE. I did finally break into the field after a short stint in the ARMY working on helicopters.

Back in 92 I had an F150 and was dating a nice girl. She muttered something about "this needs steps" when she climbed into my truck. I got steps the next day. That went a long way with her. Now turkeys are a different story lol. I'll never work on any thing like you do, just lawn equipment and normal cars and trucks, but I watch because I like the way you explain everything and your stories.

Another great video Warren. Thanks for your time and effort in making them. Do yourself a favour, though, and invest in a pair of scissors to open those packets rather than your teeth. As someone who is currently going through the extreme discomfort and great expense of having his teeth capped due to not looking after them I can assure you that prevention is better than cure. Not to mention that you don't know what ferals have been handling those packets or what rats have been weeing and $hitting on them in the warehouse. Cheers

Haha I had the conversation only this afternoon with a customer that everyday is a learning day and always be prepared to learn something new! Had just spent a couple of hours chasing wiring gremlins around a new Holland ts110 only to find a broken power cable in the fuse box near battery inside the heat shrink. Only way I found it was a little tiny bit of green verdigris at end of heat shrink.
New one on me and another one for the memory bank.
    Thanks For the videos
    Pete

  • @JonDingle
    @JonDingle 5 лет назад +2

Happy new year young man! You cracked me up with the "silent movie comment" because some folk complain about you talking, maybe they know everything about everything I have met people like that. If you don't discuss and describe what you are doing most of us wouldn't be able to follow what you are doing so easy. I just cannot imagine watching you rebuild an engine, gearbox or repair something without a single word, that would be a most peculiar video indeed. Keep on working, keep on talking and keep on uploading!

When I young and watching my dad strip and rebuild engines or fabrication but getting into the guts of engine or washing machine or electrical and found the faults thats how we found out how it works and sort the problem if it was a car you would get the manual on your car model and that was how I saved money but hands on is the best way to learn strip it and rebuilding.I wasn't scared to go it alone and listening to what my dad said and did I watched intently.......watch, listen and observe and also If A Job Is Worth Doing....Do It Properly Or Not At All.!

I really learn a lot form your videos. I have looked at the powerqaud video and have some questions. I need you to explain want parts are normally replaced just because you are there and the ones normally need to be inspected for damage or wear and replaced. I wish you would explain the name and inspection of each part. It is somewhat hard for us novice repairmen to follow with out a little more video time dedicated to the removal and rebuild process. Please keep your videos coming they are very helpful since we are in an area that our JD dealers do not have a lot of knowledge of diagnosis or repair.

LOL I do not know about others, but I watch so I can learn, even though I will never work an any of this equipment. How do I learn if You don't tell me what you are doing
Tylenol for the knees according to the saw bones both my knees and hips are down to less than 5 % of the cartilage left, from years of climbing ladders and carrying a tool belt Tylenol makes it tolerable
Web sites LOL There was no such thing! I lost count of the things my dad and i took apart and rebuilt with me reading the Motor's manual we rescued from the dump as he did the work.
Back when we used to wait for the latest car magazine to come out to see how they finished the job.
Kind of funny with all the information on line, my nephew and his buddies turn to me when they run into problems they can't figure out, because they don't the basics
Before I forget it is a CAP not a hat!

Try a slip on brace for your knee. You can get one with or without cutout for the kneecap. I find light compression of these helps with pain and weakness. Compression and ice packs are also good for swelling.

We replaced the pump and one bad valve and also removed the part the 4 speed and forward reverse housing on the transmission . Put all back together and have no forward gears . We have taken it apart a few times trying to figure out what’s wrong now . We have full pressure everywhere except the forward gears. Any idea what we could have done wrong ? We are at a loss and no one seems to have any clue .

So so many people have made so much money on the 6.0 diesel trying to fix it, finally blaming the motor as junk. When normally low fuel pressure coupled with a plugged oil cooler lead to the death of this excellent engine. Monitor fuel pressure-oil and coolant temp deltas, and dont tune one, they run and run.
