Having seen way too many adaptions of Sherlock and Watson these two are the only ones as young as they were originally written. While the plots play around a lot with original details it is complete fun all the way!

I'VE JUST STARTED TO WATCH THE OLDER MOVIES BECAUSE TODAY'S MOVIE PRODUCTION IS SIMPLE, AND FLAT OUT OBSCENITY. I CAN'T ENJOY ANYTHING FROM 2000 ONWARD AND I HAVE EVEN HAD TO BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THE 1960S - 1990S .
BUT I HAVE OF COURSE HEARD OF SHERLOCK HOLMES. WHO HASN'T? I DIDN'T READ THE BOOKS, BUT I WAS TOTALLY WRAPPED UP IN NANCY DREW AND HARDY BOYS.
BUT THIS SERIES, ALTHOUGH PREDICTABLE, IS VERY GOOD AND EVEN HAS A QUIVER OF HUMOR. I ❤ ❤ DON'T OFTEN FIND MYSELF GIGGLING OUT LOUD BECAUSE I LIVE ALONE AND NOT READY TO BE DEEMED " THE NEIGHBORHOOD CRAZY LADY 😜 🙃 😅 🤪 " BUT HOW CAN YOU STIFLE A GOOD GUFFAW WHEN IT'S CLEAN FUNNY?

I'd forgotten how silly this one could be. Holmes and Watson upsetting the message boy, and Holmes being most inscrutable in his search for clues.

    The first to comment??
I get the impression that Ronald Howard had the same relaxed postures, sitting in the window frame,
as Trevor Howard in his tent in 49th parallel..
    Or is that just me..

It’s interesting that this series doesn’t introduce Miss Hudson (6:50) in any episode, they only mention her name. That’s the only weak point of the series!
