Saw it 13 times in its run at the cinema. Masterpiece. When I saw it the first time on my walking out from the auditorium into the lounge I was astonished! Stunned!
This film legitimately made a mark. A genuine piece of art. It’s really difficult to describe without sounding like a pretentious idiot. But seriously, a bonafide masterpiece in its entirety. Astonishing that they were actually able to go all out on this and create it in his own vision as he saw fit. Radical filmmaking and one of the last great hopes for Hollywood. People just don’t understand...

The sense of darkness that this soundtrack gives is so calming because it reflects what we feel, like if the unconscious had a sound. Also It blocks out the real darkness which is a much deeper shade of black.

I only just saw the original five months ago last year on dvd director's cut. My favorite film at the moment. Can't believe i haven't seen this film sooner. I was born in 82 just months after the realise of this film. Hope one day they put this film on the big screen at my local cinemas. I think it would be awesome at a drive through cinema.
i feel pity for me too. Its still amazing to watch on blueray with headphones though. You could Frame every scene of this movie and hang it up on your wall thats how gorgeous this movie is.

Listening to this music past my bedtime, and hesitant to go to sleep. This is one of the best ambient clips I've listened to in the way the music blends into the background while you self-reflect and contemplate decisions that you have made in your life, for good or for bad, and ponder what changes the future will bring.

Thank you for this. It is almost too addictive to listen to. It was the only movie I have seen in the cinema by myself. The experience left me with a lot of deep thoughts about a lot of things. Your ambient sound really captures the slow and heavy pace of the movie. Standing in a window frame, looking outside but not really looking... Searching for a deeper meaning of life in the back of your head. Being part of a universal truth that you just have not uncovered...

This is the best film of all time, I can’t think of anything that even comes close for the cinema experience.
It's so good right? There's a lot of other great cinema out there if you haven't seen it though - I'd personally recommend Children of Men, Interstellar, and Drive for similar quality and vibes. All three examine humanity at its core, the first two being science fiction and the third having striking thematic similarities to Blade Runner 2049, and with Ryan Gosling in the lead.

This is fucking fantastic, i´ve heard it a lot of times in the background already but this last one was beautiful and had to comment. I really love the rain 'peaking' on 'vietnamese tin roofs' on top of Zimmer, even if it might look an easy approach at first. Lovely.
