I have narrowed down the reasons and I think I finally understand why a movie affected me like it did. I believe it is because I can sympathize with that feeling of loneliness and faint taste of sorrow that you feel everyday, even when your around the people you love. In the end, my mask has been sowed onto my being and I use it to hide this abyss in my being. As foolish as it sounds, this movie gives me a dim ray of hope that someday I might find someone who understands me, someone who I can without shame remove me mask in front of. Someone who I can hug and cherish selflessly, so that one day this cocktail of emotions can be taken apart and understood. Even if this hope is unrealistic, it does help me get up in the morning.
