I just love Cosmo Jarvis as Cpt Wentworth. So much expression & feeling in his face. He chokes me up in almost every one of his scenes & my heart breaks for his broken heart.
I love this movie, I love the casting, I love how much you really feel like Wentworth adores Anne. I keep watching it over and over and am so sad it hasn't been released on DVD.
I loved this movie. I don't know why there are so many haters. It's a refreshing take on the story and has a lot of similarities to the version with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds.
True. I understand why fans who've read the original stories are pissed. But there are already two good adaptations of the same story. Personally I felt like they should have done some things differently, like absolutely not adding something like 'Now we're worse than EXES!?' That was cringey. Otherwise I loved the pairing, I loved everything else about the movie. I wish I could see more of Dakota and Cosmo, they make a beautiful pair ❤️
I didn’t love it but I enjoyed watching it. I just didn’t like the breaking the 4th wall every minute. But his looks of love were always so heart wrenching I loved that
I really liked this movie The actor who played Wentworth was great he showed such emotion in his face the tear on his cheek at the end was so touching the actor playing Elliott was not as good playing him as the 2007 one did Elliott was a sleazy chelating crook which the new did not come across as this watched this movie 3times now loved it just for the new Wentworth he's brilliant ❤️❤️❤️
I don't care what anyone says about this, but for me this was the most amazingly adapted book to movie ever.It wasnt exaggerated or made too emotional. It was the perfect amount of love, emotions and realness. Also how awesome was dakota in this? the character was strong and not so much in love to loose her own self,i love this movie😭
Agree, loved the movie. Never cared for previous version, no passion no freely. Love this fleabag, messy, wine drinking version. Cosmo plays a biter rugged version, passionate.
You either haven't read the book, aren't an Austen fan, and/or have no knowledge or understanding of the Regency Era gentry class. This was a slap in the face to Jane Austen.
@@tlgarrison8433 You're the one who's not getting it. When we want movies adaptations for classics, we're not demanding a race of who's gonna do it the most historically accurate and stick to the book the most. We want a work that adapt the book to the modern public and capture their feelings and has creativity. If I want a book, I'll read the book. I don't need a film to copy the book a word by word. I want an artistic product INSPIRED from the book
@@pomme00800 I'll freely admit that when it comes to Austen, the Brontë sister, and Dickens, I'm a purest. If you want an adaptation, do what Daphne du Maurier did with Jane Eyre. There far too many anachronistic elements in this for me to give it a pass.
Really liked the actor who played Wentworth other showed in his face just how much he loved Anne he was not going to give up till he got his Anne back the Actor in the BBC adaption who played Elliot played him better because he played him as person with no soul viewers should make their own minds up not believe what RUclips reviews say he's I liked the Sally Hawkins And Rupert Penrey Jones Adaption liked this one too
It's Jane Austen's last book, and It's like her last words. I saw Jane Austen in every detail on Anne.. And thats because I cried at the end. It's like the love she can never live it.
Bel video
@@TypicalZain It completely misses the tone and doesn't understand basic facts about the story. It's not even a swing and a miss, the batter forgot to swing the bat on this film.
Many moments are amazing touching... music great... but... something missing in this adaptation... Maybe... However... nice watching movies and reading book... Everything change... Life change... Always searching amazing vibes in many movies...😏💙💚💛
It's pretty sad when this kind of stuff is better than the movie. It was a train wreck of a movie and a slap in the face of anyone who can think for themselves. Great job however on this.
I've not seen the movie yet, so I'd like to reserve judgement on all but two points. 1) This edit is beautiful. 2) If Persuasion is only plot, then I'm sure this adaptation suffices. It may even be beautiful. However, assuming any representation of Jane Austen's work is only plot is a slight to Jane Austen. Her characters are her brilliance. And that performance is not Anne Elliot.
Imagine an adaptation of a film that has no similarities to the thing it’s supposed to be “adapted” from. Anne and Wentworth are unrecognizable. I’m so so so upset about this film. I knew it was going to be quirky, but I was so hopeful it would be good. It’s awful 😕
I ignored all the reviews and decided to judge for myself. I’ve read Persuasion as well as all of Jane Austen’s other novels, so have some knowledge of her writing. I really enjoyed this modern interpretation. Thought the performances, music score and locations were wonderful. It also captures a lot of her wit. Finally read the reviews and some of the comments, including the lack of chemistry between the two lead characters, I have to disagree. It’s a really enjoyable film.
I just love Cosmo Jarvis as Cpt Wentworth. So much expression & feeling in his face. He chokes me up in almost every one of his scenes & my heart breaks for his broken heart.
I absolutely love this movie, Anne and Frederick are perfectly cast, I’ve watched it over and over and it never gets old. ❤
Saw this film last night and I absolutely loved it. Two souls yearning for each other were perfectly captured in this adaption.
Think i have binged watch this film 8 times already lol.
I love this movie, I love the casting, I love how much you really feel like Wentworth adores Anne. I keep watching it over and over and am so sad it hasn't been released on DVD.
Like an arrow to the heart. The loss and longing are just…❤️🔥
This piece of music and the clips selected really are an advantage to this particular version of Persuasion!
I loved this movie. I don't know why there are so many haters. It's a refreshing take on the story and has a lot of similarities to the version with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds.

I totally agree. I loved the movie. A new twist, and I like it.

I really enjoyed this movie! So glad I got to see this.
It's a beautiful movie which I have enjoyed a lot , Especially because of the great suitable cast❤
This edit is better than the movie

Rupert Penry-Johns has his own style. Not sleazy at all. Nasty slur.
I love the movie. Is a modern twist of the old and so many times told story. ❤️
True ❤️

The movie was awful and should never have claimed to be an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel, but this video is lovely.

A delightful Persuasion that would have made Jane Austen swell with pride with all colour and race of persons.❤️
This not Anne, look like Elizabeth Bennet 2.0, but video beautiful
2007 BBC version is 1000 times beter. The writers messed it up. It is not Anne and not Wentworth. But your edit is great. Beter than the movie

He seems handsome, but still, there is something not pleasant in him. I don’t even know why, but I don’t like him
His eyes and hair. Doesn't do it for me.
It is his voice …he has expressive eyes and is handsome but sounds too cool and reserved all the time.
You don’t see it so much in this clip but in the movie he was very off.
we dont even have enough Persuasion adaptations and they butchered it... unforgivable!
I have a question, why does Fredrick look like an invalid????
Only in your shallow eyes. Many actually find this actor to be quite handsome!
Um insulto a Jane Austen
He is so great! But Dakota and their chemistry....nothing
I think 1995 version is better. This doesn't even look like 18 century England.
No, Just no. They butchered Anne and the whole Austen spirit.
Awful version.
This edit isn’t good. Should be much better… no offense
Really, really bad adaptation of Peruasion.
Awful.
