I was at the nurburgring in 2011 during a focus on historic motorsports. I saw old DTM, F1, and side car racing. The history of racing! The weekend before I was there was a motorcycle rally!
I'm jealous of you getting to drive on the Ring Larry. I was stationed in Germany back in the 80s in the Army. Did get to bomb the Autobahn in my friends 76 Trans am speed o buried.
270km on that bmw is the perfect amount its had a life like all cars should, i sold my M3 evo with 130km and its was put in a bubble and hasnt moved for the last 2 years such a waste of a car i regret selling it to them
So glad you Greek buddy w/Track Speed and crew gave your M3 some competent love. Not a good look for that UK crew that did the fly-by-night motor swap to let that torn intake boot go out the door. Especially since those are common things to fail.
On my E36 M3 when they did the exhaust they switched up the O2 sensors and also got on/off stuttering and hesitation sometimes, maybe this can help... Otherwise maybe vanos/camshaft sensor...
Hey Larry! So jealous, I need to save up to drive this track! I was recently having a surging issue in my '90 300zx. I changed the MAF, put in a new TPS, new air filters, cleaned throttle bodies, new Bosch 02 sensors, and put in a new fuel filter. All of these repairs made progress, but in the end it was spraying a bunch of throttle cleaner down the IACV. Night and day. I've still got a bit of a high idle when really warm after driving, but the surging is completely gone. Maybe this helps?
Just almost at the end of the video I realized that Larry's E36 M3 Evo Lemon has a spanish number plate. You did not start the trip from Spain, or did you? Aside from E30's I always liked E36's M cars, specially the 4 door saloon one. That one I liked even more than the coupe. Elegant but with a sporty presence.
Best way to drive your lemon its easy to right it off. Get misha to take you and share views on how she holds up. Change brake fluid and watch oil temps
As long as you really know the track (assetto corsa), it's really not that hard to drive it. The biggest challenge imho is a lot of traffic, constantly looking at your mirrors to not obstruct faster cars while making sure you have nice lines - that's the real challenge.

I'm gonna predict that when Larry has the car shipped back that when he opens the container his M3 will have fewer parts and the parts that do remain will be different and inferior. I'm sure the shipping company will be blamed
