Chen Yee Ren yeah,i mean everytime i play combat engi most of time i die from freakin' W+M1.I mean even they can kill it,everyone can 2 shot sentry and 2 shot engi
Chen Yee Ren well it really depends on such a small and open map like Hightower. It completely destroys trolldiers and scouts. If you destroy it then there’s already one behind you placed as you were turning around so all you got was a sentry kill point and accomplished nothing. If they place it in a stupid spot like in the full health resupply room then it gets 1 or 2 kills, gets destroyed, then gets placed back up and repeat.
I think for rematch it should not rely on a certain percentage of players to vote and remain in the queue for the game to rematch. I think anyone who votes on a rematch should stay on the same map with everyone else who voted while the players who did not vote for a rematch are sent to new random servers. Meanwhile back on the hightower rematch server they just bring in new players that queued up with hightower as a possibility. That would work much better on both ends. On the end of people wanting a rematch and on the end of people trying to join a specific map. Now it would pose an issue of servers being forced to be dedicated to one map which would lead to an over saturation of certain maps in casual however if there are really so few players who wanted a rematch on hightower it could just drop them in a different server that just started hightower or even bring them into a match that is missing a decent amount of players due to disconnects.

+Matthew Tallent Have you played comp? It sucks. It's actually worse than casual. Every game has unbalanced teams, and there are more hackers in comp than in casual.
You literally cannot get a Causal Payload Race outside Hightower. I've run many matches, long for CTF but keeping the remaining 3 maps on, but I've yet to play Banana Bay or any other payload race.
From the September 27th patch notes, "XP is no longer lost for leaving a Casual match early." You still get your xp if you leave. Now, if only those people knew that.
ikr. They should do something like when you happen to have leveled up a rank you'll get a bonus or something like a weapon or hat you can't get anywhere else or something like metal.
The Gibus You're not allowed to kick people for wanting to finish a contract that valve forced them to complete. That and if you want a different PLR map, then Hightower is cancer.
One of my biggest complaints on Casual Mode besides the long wait time and the "tryhard" mode it puts you in, is the fact THAT WHY THE F#CK DID THEY REMOVE CTF SAWMILL. NOW I CAN'T PLAY THAT ANYMORE FFS ;-;. And no, there is no sawmill ctf server with people in it.
Hightower is not a payload map, nor is it just a team deathmatch map. Its a test to reveal true character. How you play hightower reveals who you are as a person and how you see yourself in interactions of others. One who caps because thats the "actual objective of the map" and one who caps because "I enjoy ruining your fun, stay salty loser XDDD" have the same end results, but have distinct different moral qualities. Same with how people interact with friendlies or others joking around, do they join in the fun, keep the peace and ignore them, or kill them cause its TDM and thats what why we're all here? Its truly a interesting map, because it shows that its not the developer's intentions that matter, its those who play on it. So, you have a map that has an unspoken rule to not actually play it properly. If this rule properly stands among all players, then what is keeping the unspoken rule of not killing friendlies from standing? "We're all not following the intended rules already, should we really care?" But what about the mini sentry tower clause? Is it considered an unspoken rule, or is it simply looked down upon? Where is the line of a social rule and taboo? Are you obligated to uphold the rule as an indvidual within the server, or are you free to ignore the taboo but gain the scorn of fellow players? All in all, the enviroment that is Hightower is a ripe example of social rules and different interactions of people with different ideologies of unspoken rules. Whether they are willing to join in the fun, not understand the concept and disregard it out of social ineptitude (not in the know), or they understand the concept and refuse to follow it for their own purposes such as resentment or take joy in deliberate violation (killjoys). There are also those who agree to a certain level; those who recognize the deatmatch, but ignore the taboos such as placing minisentries on the tower. The multiple layers of widely accepted "rules" that only exist among the players is legit a source of psychological interest and I believe should have a legit proffessional take a look at.
i agree with this video 99% with the thought that, hey, this would be a lot better as a king of the hill map with the point at the top of the center tower. but the tower has small changes to it so you can be safe from the 3 snipers on the balcony a little.
ya know how you have to watch a movie before you play a tf2 map for the first time, i think you should have to watch this before you play hightower, greatest pov i've seen on this heavily debated subject
I think they should bring back quickplay BUT keep casual, add rewards for ranking up in casual, get people playing both pubs and casual! :D brief edit: not asking for soundsmith to reply, but soundsmith I want to know your opinion on this idea
I cap on all maps even 2fort and hightower lmao 3:17 omg he predicted my hightower capping spite raid. and my eventual Reddit post lmao but honestly, even though I'm heavily pro-cap, when people nicely ask me, "Hey MrColz, we just wanna play for a bit longer can you not cap?" I won't cap and I'll just continue playing. Now when people go, "why'd you cap f**ktard?!" or "don't cap". I'll cap.
@@Jacob-zk1jy ye... But my only motivations for capping are the fact that it's the goal of the game, I want to have fun. And completing the goal of the game is fun for me.
Capturing on Hightower is okay in two cases to me: 1. If there are still captures left before the game ends 2. If a bunch of people have to turn in contracts My opinion.
Tell them they can bail on Casual, go down to Community Servers and join one of those. The only way we are going to take back the old ways is to say screw the Casual Match Making BS. When I want to not dick around with Casual I go to GameShock servers, or Death Run servers. I mean there are even 24/7 Halloween servers where you can dick around on the Halloween maps anytime of the year. We have gotten so used to hitting Quick Play that no one really bothers with our best solution to MYM, Community Servers.
dnd20SI The only problem is that sometimes there are no community servers for the map you want with a reasonable ping, for instance my favourite map is turbine the only problem is games can be really short and I have not found a server running it under 300 ping so I am forced to play quick play and have to ask people to not cap.
EU Server 164.132.63.191:27035 US East Coast 74.91.123.102:27035 US West Coast 66.150.155.73:27035 They run only CTF maps, so Turbine, Sawmill, Well, 2Fort, Landfall and Doublecross. They also feature the old map vote system so if it isn't currently set to a map you want you can start a vote to switch it to one. I also have IPs for Payload and KOTH maps for those regions as well.
That moment when you get a loud advertisement in the middle of the night, and everyone's asleep. And your headphones pop out at the worst time. I need new headphones...
They fixed the rematch system. PEOPLE STILL KEEP KICKING PLAYERS FOR CAPPING. I don't usually cap, but the match has to end EVENTUALLY. I'm getting sick of playing hightower for an hour straight just to get kicked because of a stupid meme about capping the point that doesn't even matter anymore. Maybe I'd actually like to keep the experience I earned from the damn game once in a while.
This. More of this. This is good content. It's HONEST content. I fucking love honest content in the TF2 youtube scene, and wish there was more of it these days. Please, Smith, keep up the good work.
In my experience, attempting to nicely ask to cap to finish a contract has always resulted in Douchebags saying “No man, no capping” and then some douchey laughs and getting tunneled. So honestly, being nice does work. But 99 percent of the time it doesn’t.
The thing is, people on Hightower love to help with contracts, but then there is just that one asshole who screams at you for capping. Bro I'm just trying to finish this contract, can you shut up and by nice for once. That's my whole opinion on this
I feel like it would be better if high tower was turned into a king of the hill map or maybe just make an entire separate version that’s king of the hill
I'ts great, that TF2 has such a great community,to run servers instead of then, but community can't be answer to anything, and companies like Valve shouldn't rely on them. It was step in right direction, when you could vote for longer map times. Two straight hours on Hightower with my friend, congratulating each other when we got 100 points (in half an our ussualy, depending on team), joking at 69 points, and top scoring most of the time. Oh sweet times, before we meeted match.
This is my favorite video by you because you say that being nice actually does something, which is possibly the truest words ever spoken. I also agree completely with the "silly crap" (gotta keep it PG clean lol)
Well, I guess my chances of getting an unusual are 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.....1 Cause I usually don't give a rats ass. XD
For me, I'm just gonna suggest to go on hiatus until ValvE gets their shit together. Casual mode is just an annoying system to go through that needs a good amount of polish to work. I also think they need to implement the workshop a bit more, namely to bypass all the annoying hoops you need to jump through to get a HUD installed. I tried it once, took me a week, and then the meet your match update came out and BROKE my ability to play the game, until I uninstalled the HUD I loved.
George Cowsert what hud are you using? What are the "hoops" you need to jump through to install a hud? Dont you just throw the whole hud file into /custom?
Unknown 404 I was installing RAYSHUD at the time, which alters alot at the cost of a good HUD. Thing is, Meet Your Match changed the entire title screen, which RASYHUD also alters. This made conflicting results, and I couldn't do anything unless I CTRL+ALT+DELETE my way out.
George Cowsert How often do you get a whole UI overhaul in tf2? It's not like Valve cares about tf2 and pumps out updates every week. And what's so troublesome about it? You just remove the hud file and wait for rayshud's dev to update their hud, so whats the hoops you need to jump through?
I normally don’t cap, but when a single round starts approaching an hour and I’ve had my contract ready for about half of that, there’s a point where I actually start asking and borderline begging players to cap. Hightower I think needs some sort of time limit alongside capping the objective so a single round doesn’t last like two hours, because there are times where I have to leave the server and forfeit the contract I just farmed, which bums me out because it feels like a waste of time. That or have another unwritten rule of Hightower that if a round goes for X amount of time, let a team cap.
You act as if the silly shit doesn't happen when the objective is actually being played. You know damned well that it does. I don't have an issue with people that want to just screw around on hightower doing that, even I do that. But when I do, I join a community server. There are plenty of ones that remove the carts, Jump Academy even has a few servers that run a modified hightower map with an extended skybox and more obstacles for jumping around. It isn't exactly fair that payload race WAS my favorite game mode, but I can't play it anymore because all community hightower servers are just dedicated to not capturing, then when I join casual, which was INTENDED FOR ACTUALLY PLAYING IN, I get targeted by the entire enemy team and kicked by my own. Payload race was a genuinely fun game mode, but people that are too damned lazy to find a community server ruin it for people like me. And no, it is not selfish of me to think that way, because you guys have your community servers as a given, is it fair for you to take away the casual ones too? Once again, you know damned well that the silly new player stuff that you brought up at the end happens when the objective is actually being played, if that were not the case, it wouldn't even be a thing to begin with. Stop defending having a monopoly over PLR, it's ridiculous
Christian Walker How did you arrive at the conclusion that people want the game to end quickly? I'm serious when I ask this because I and many others play hightower for long, drawn out goofy deathmatches. Please do lend your thoughts, your position is very interesting to me!
I love the uphill battle to cap on hightower. with the DMing happening all over the map and the enemy spawn being right there next to the cap point its just alot of fun squeezing out a win.
Yup, I was just on a community server, a single heavy who tried to take the game seriously, I had to go sniper, and try to let others had fun, while the heavy (probably) had fun with having challenges (ps: he didn't change class, so it was kinda easy)
Hey sounds smith. Just got into TF2 recently due to only now having a PC that is not a potato and I never got the main problem with the no cap on high tower. I thought it was just like any other map where you play the objective. So its nice to have it explained in a way thats not people yelling at me and answering my questions with,"you just don't."
If you don't like capping on hightower, and prefer to just run around death match style, then why don't you use one of the many dedicated community servers built for that very purpose? That way, you can enjoy your game without having to worry about queues, and you aren't in the way or a nuisance to the players who do want to cap. What do you think of that? Edit: Haha, I just now got to your section of the video about community servers. xD Look, you said it yourself, you can get the death match experience in community servers, just like you want. But somehow that isn't good enough because of the "newbie culture" on Valve servers? That seems a bit pretentious, wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Part of what makes the newbie experience so special is because these newbies are learning things and come to have fun and to progress in the game, not run around and death match all afternoon. And yet, being new, they likely aren't aware that hightower has that subculture about it. If you want to play on Valve servers, you should play the objective, since that is sort of the point after all, and what they were designed for. And if not, then you should go to servers that were designed for what you like.
Just want to say how amazing SoundSmith's suggestion for how rematches should be sounds. It's an amazing idea and I really hope that default rematches are a thing really soon. VALVE PLZ MAKE IT A THING
god, i just whant the pubs back... i rly dont know what to do in tf2 right now, casual games are to short , in competive you only play 20% of the time and is imposible to find a comunity server that is not total cancer...
The problem is actually fixed now. At the end of a match, if you reselect Hightower, you go to the same server with the same people, but on different teams. If some leave, they get replaced. The load time is fixed now, as the server only changes the level, and queuing in Casual isn’t trash anymore, as of the Inferno update. Now, both sides are peaceful. Except for that one kid who’s trying to be cool by not capping and saying “HEY! Don’t fucking cap!” And attempting to kill people capping, and tries to kick anyone on his team who tries to. Oh boy, and if it’s alltalk, prepare for a lot of yelling. Luckily, they are bad at the game. Just Market Gardener them a few times, he’ll accuse you for hacking, and then they’re kicked by his teammates or everyone mutes him. Don’t be that guy.
We all do, it was tf2's lifeblood, we need that AND casual, as some like casual (most f2ps) and a lot like pubs, so just bring a few pubs back, like half the number, and keep a few casual servers
+SENTRYBUSTER IS SPY Wouldn't work imo, because the horrible queue times would be even longer for those in casual. It's either casual or quick-play. Both can't exist.
I've noticed that you didn't mention Contract people. they like hightower because nobody caps but they don't like it after they finish their contracts because again, nobody caps.
This new generation of F2P, and new players alike have obviously have forgotten about the sacred rule of Hightower that has been there for a century. Don't cap. All you have to do is don't cap. Why? Because Hightower is one of the most diverse, fun, and unique maps there are. This also allows people to slowly turn into friendlies, then go back to killing each other in an enjoyable, and a cycle of mass variety to form. So next time you see someone cap on Hightower, get your market gardener out, AND STOP THE BOMB!
Hightower would be AMAZING as a KOTH map with the point at the top of the tower. Maybe they could do a 5CP version as well with the other 2 points in areas connected to that one ramp room
Just so you know. You CAN access your backpack and stuff when waiting in the queue. While in the queue, open console and type "open_charinfo_backpack". You can also join a community server while in the queue with "gamemenucommand openserverbrowser" and then join a server. When the queue finds a match for you, you will be auto disconnected and reconnected to the Casual match. Jump maps are a good time passer for me
You basically represent what I love about tf2. Tf2 is like a chatroom. No it's not new. No it's not shiny. But the people you meet and the things that wouldn't happen anywhere else but there, it's just what makes the game timeless. You remind me why I played haha... and give me reason to actually play again.
I don’t know if it’s just me but recently it seems people have shifted from mostly people who hate cappers and will kick you if your actively trying to cap to now people say that the Gibbs heavy (I don’t know why it’s always a heavy for some reason)is either taking the game too seriously like literally has his entire team pushing the kart ignoring what actually makes Hightower interesting and unique or is just a Gibbs heavy maby scout but usually heavy that does literally fucking nothing but run up to the cap point abuses the guard cuz they definitely don’t have the brain capacity to look in more that one or two directions and just sits there trying to kill anyone who try’s to stop them usually they die cuz again Gibbs heavy clearly has no idea how to combat people outside of having them in his cross hare and they look at this dude literally just sitting in place to make the round end and they say he’s just playing the game Yeas I’m salty that every time a Gibbs heavy on my team try’s to cap no one does anything*about it while the other team won’t shut up about how annoying he is people should be able to play Hightower without having to look down every five seconds to make sure their fish melee duel isn’t interrupted by the Gibbs heavy who’s team refuses to notice cap randomly cuz no one was looking
Side note if the entire enemy team is capping I’ll ask them not to but I can tell that they are actually trying to play the game seriously unlike the dickhead Gibus heavys and scunts who join just to cap without even fighting anyone and just say their playing the game how it’s meant to be played but really are just trying to ruin the fun I understand seriously play I wouldn’t consider myself someone who plays the game super silly and barely play CT’s maps so don’t take this as some salty friendly angry that his team won’t kick the fp2 heavy who keeps running to the cap point I just get annoyed when people say their playing the game how it’s meant to be played and aren’t even interacting with anyone like at that point why not just go on a private server and sit on the cap since your interacting with about the same amount of people there
i really liked how you formatted this in an almost slideshowy way. Kept your thoughts and points organised. If you keep doing discussion videos on common player debate topics it might bring some nice breath into the community. Maybe. Also it was great fun playing with you a while back, you play a mean medic. :D
It would be supercool if valve just added a deathmatch mode. Either one with a time limit or one without one. Basically it could have random maps but it would remove the intelligence, cart, or control point(s). People could just fight and people who want to push a cart of capture something can do it freely on the normal gamemodes.
One time when I was still new to the game I was placed in a Hightower server so I went to cap the final point and 5 seconds after I touch the cart, somebody vote kicks me and it goes through. This was sept. of 2017, rematches existed, THEY HAD NO EXCUSE TO JUST VOTE FOR HIGHTOWER THE NEXT ROUND.

And no, there is no sawmill ctf server with people in it.

i was a new player and i capped on hightower and i got kicked
@@slmb_b if no one is playing the objective and is having fun, why would you cap? you just are being an asshole
I don't like capping on Hightower but after like 30 minutes, enough is enough.
OR they can make a new game mode called team death match and put hightower in the new game mode.

Arena was a thing once
@@PenGoblin but arena was really flawed for tf2
Nah
i agree with this video 99% with the thought that, hey, this would be a lot better as a king of the hill map with the point at the top of the center tower. but the tower has small changes to it so you can be safe from the 3 snipers on the balcony a little.
ya know how you have to watch a movie before you play a tf2 map for the first time, i think you should have to watch this before you play hightower, greatest pov i've seen on this heavily debated subject
If you don't like capping, just defend the objective, its a good way to get kills too!
problem is: hightower contracts and xp is only rewarded at match end
this mirrors my thoughts for twofort...'you just got your second cap? great, now lets not cap and just kill each other until bedtime.'

I think they should bring back quickplay BUT keep casual, add rewards for ranking up in casual, get people playing both pubs and casual! :D brief edit: not asking for soundsmith to reply, but soundsmith I want to know your opinion on this idea
I cap on all maps even 2fort and hightower lmao
3:17 omg he predicted my hightower capping spite raid. and my eventual Reddit post lmao
but honestly, even though I'm heavily pro-cap, when people nicely ask me, "Hey MrColz, we just wanna play for a bit longer can you not cap?" I won't cap and I'll just continue playing. Now when people go, "why'd you cap f**ktard?!" or "don't cap". I'll cap.
A friendly try hard. Cool...
@@Jacob-zk1jy ye...
But my only motivations for capping are the fact that it's the goal of the game, I want to have fun. And completing the goal of the game is fun for me.
the wait time for matches aren't really a problem anymore.
0:13 it's... GLORIOUS! *sniff*
Capturing on Hightower is okay in two cases to me:
1. If there are still captures left before the game ends
2. If a bunch of people have to turn in contracts
My opinion.
2 is definitely right but 1 is a lil more situational

Hrrrnnnnn my nostalgia.
right in the memories m8, still too soon.
I hate not capping on pub Hightower, but on community servers it's fine to not play the objective if it's OK with everyone in my opinion.
+4G_Billy_FaZeKlan I seen you on muselk's channel :3
dnd20SI The only problem is that sometimes there are no community servers for the map you want with a reasonable ping, for instance my favourite map is turbine the only problem is games can be really short and I have not found a server running it under 300 ping so I am forced to play quick play and have to ask people to not cap.
EU Server 164.132.63.191:27035
US East Coast 74.91.123.102:27035
US West Coast 66.150.155.73:27035
They run only CTF maps, so Turbine, Sawmill, Well, 2Fort, Landfall and Doublecross. They also feature the old map vote system so if it isn't currently set to a map you want you can start a vote to switch it to one.
I also have IPs for Payload and KOTH maps for those regions as well.
dnd20SI I live in Australia at the moment so I don't know how good the ping will be, I am extremely appreciative however and will check them out.
That moment when you get a loud advertisement in the middle of the night, and everyone's asleep. And your headphones pop out at the worst time.

6:06 i hate these types of players they just pretend to be friendly to save their own skin and then kill u, its a scummy move
This. More of this. This is good content. It's HONEST content. I fucking love honest content in the TF2 youtube scene, and wish there was more of it these days. Please, Smith, keep up the good work.
Imagine waiting nine months to give birth to a child that caps on Hightower...
That's my whole opinion on this
Soundsmith has become one of my favorite you tubers as of now
I feel like it would be better if high tower was turned into a king of the hill map or maybe just make an entire separate version that’s king of the hill
TL;DR
Why comment and not read?
Anyway,have your way:
Old hightower: Good
Option to extend map times: Very good
Casual Hightower: Bad

0:14 No, your not lazypurple, your soundsmith.
Reinstall every update, I think.
An Incredibly Innovative Name How often does tf2 updates? Every 2 or 3 months? lol
Unknown 404
I was installing RAYSHUD at the time, which alters alot at the cost of a good HUD.

I would cap on high tower on casual simply because you want to have a quick game.
Christian Walker How did you arrive at the conclusion that people want the game to end quickly? I'm serious when I ask this because I and many others play hightower for long, drawn out goofy deathmatches. Please do lend your thoughts, your position is very interesting to me!
zucchin for casual I like to rank up but if I am on a community servers I NEVER cap.
Christian Walker Ah, I see.
If people don't want to cap, community servers are for them.

I love the uphill battle to cap on hightower. with the DMing happening all over the map and the enemy spawn being right there next to the cap point its just alot of fun squeezing out a win.
The cappers are mostly f2ps that have 3mins on the game
Yup, I was just on a community server, a single heavy who tried to take the game seriously, I had to go sniper, and try to let others had fun, while the heavy (probably) had fun with having challenges (ps: he didn't change class, so it was kinda easy)
And then everybody clapped, right?
pepper ...nope
In my experience, it's usually tryhard soldiers or scouts capping. You know, the ones who kill friendlies.
Archsteel Im usually the friendly they kill :|
Edit: Haha, I just now got to your section of the video about community servers. xD
Look, you said it yourself, you can get the death match experience in community servers, just like you want.
Just go to one of those jumpacademy hightower servers and see what kinda shit happens
True AF
Thank you SoundSmith péplums really needed a video like that
I won't yell at people that are capping anymore
Thx a lot preciate it
The problem is actually fixed now.
I liked your outro with the smiling hoovy :)
I miss pubs
We all do, it was tf2's lifeblood, we need that AND casual, as some like casual (most f2ps) and a lot like pubs, so just bring a few pubs back, like half the number, and keep a few casual servers
+SENTRYBUSTER IS SPY Wouldn't work imo, because the horrible queue times would be even longer for those in casual. It's either casual or quick-play. Both can't exist.
I almost came when I saw the old quick play browser. I didn't have TF2 for a long time, only since gun mettle. And now pubs are gone. I miss them.
I miss good community servers
I've noticed that you didn't mention Contract people. they like hightower because nobody caps but they don't like it after they finish their contracts because again, nobody caps.
i fall into this criteria
This new generation of F2P, and new players alike have obviously have forgotten about the sacred rule of Hightower that has been there for a century. Don't cap. All you have to do is don't cap. Why? Because Hightower is one of the most diverse, fun, and unique maps there are. This also allows people to slowly turn into friendlies, then go back to killing each other in an enjoyable, and a cycle of mass variety to form. So next time you see someone cap on Hightower, get your market gardener out, AND STOP THE BOMB!
This is all a joke btw.
I sure hope so, because there is no "sacred rule of Hightower".
FoeReaper 4000 Good, I was about to unleash fucking fire
FoeReaper 4000 trolldiers coukd be useful now, they could actually help defend the cart!

I'm amazed that no one has made a version of Hightower that just removes the carts.

It's always the battle between "CAP NOOB!!!!!!!!!!" and "My god don't cap let us have fun"
Hello, SoundSmith, I must say that I did enjoy your commentary and I would like to see more of it. Great vid, keep it up :)
Jump maps are a good time passer for me
wow i can't believe i actually forgot what the quickplay browser looked like back in the day
the memories.. they're coming back
You basically represent what I love about tf2. Tf2 is like a chatroom. No it's not new. No it's not shiny. But the people you meet and the things that wouldn't happen anywhere else but there, it's just what makes the game timeless. You remind me why I played haha... and give me reason to actually play again.
I don’t know if it’s just me but recently it seems people have shifted from mostly people who hate cappers and will kick you if your actively trying to cap to now people say that the Gibbs heavy (I don’t know why it’s always a heavy for some reason)is either taking the game too seriously like literally has his entire team pushing the kart ignoring what actually makes Hightower interesting and unique or is just a Gibbs heavy maby scout but usually heavy that does literally fucking nothing but run up to the cap point abuses the guard cuz they definitely don’t have the brain capacity to look in more that one or two directions and just sits there trying to kill anyone who try’s to stop them usually they die cuz again Gibbs heavy clearly has no idea how to combat people outside of having them in his cross hare and they look at this dude literally just sitting in place to make the round end and they say he’s just playing the game
Yeas I’m salty that every time a Gibbs heavy on my team try’s to cap no one does anything*about it while the other team won’t shut up about how annoying he is people should be able to play Hightower without having to look down every five seconds to make sure their fish melee duel isn’t interrupted by the Gibbs heavy who’s team refuses to notice cap randomly cuz no one was looking
Side note if the entire enemy team is capping I’ll ask them not to but I can tell that they are actually trying to play the game seriously unlike the dickhead Gibus heavys and scunts who join just to cap without even fighting anyone and just say their playing the game how it’s meant to be played but really are just trying to ruin the fun I understand seriously play I wouldn’t consider myself someone who plays the game super silly and barely play CT’s maps so don’t take this as some salty friendly angry that his team won’t kick the fp2 heavy who keeps running to the cap point I just get annoyed when people say their playing the game how it’s meant to be played and aren’t even interacting with anyone like at that point why not just go on a private server and sit on the cap since your interacting with about the same amount of people there
Trust me, the load times have gotten far better. I usually only have to wait a minute or two until a match.

you really delivered your thoughts well, and i agree with you on everything. Nice work!
i really liked how you formatted this in an almost slideshowy way. Kept your thoughts and points organised. If you keep doing discussion videos on common player debate topics it might bring some nice breath into the community. Maybe.
Also it was great fun playing with you a while back, you play a mean medic. :D
(Especially on x10 highertower servers) I just wait on the opposing team's payload with the cloak and dagger. It works... I'd say 70% of the time.
It would be supercool if valve just added a deathmatch mode. Either one with a time limit or one without one. Basically it could have random maps but it would remove the intelligence, cart, or control point(s). People could just fight and people who want to push a cart of capture something can do it freely on the normal gamemodes.
I personally almost only play on a hightower with no carts server, you can connect quick and easy and there's a good community on it
as ass backwards as the multiplayer mechanics of splatoon 2 are, that que idea of yours is exactly how splatoon 2 does it, and frankly it’s brilliant.
i know im late but quick thing: if you press cancel as soon as you enter that loading screen, you can rejoin and the time can be as low as 10 seconds.
I like how, 5 years later, this is no longer a major problem. But that's my 2 cents.
