I have the Lefty Morgan.... can't say enough about how good these OW guitars are in every facet...(we have a couple of larger Martins) ...and for the price. I have't touched my electrics in weeks...and I don't really care for acoustic guitars (sold my Martin 5 or 6 years ago)...and I have been averaging 2-3 hours a day playing this guitar. The rave online reviews are legit!
Great video, I appreciate the straightforward couch evaluation. Sounds very good. Based on your review I bought one a few days ago....... Should be here in 2 days. There was a 10% discount code, $112.50 final cost, free shipping of course. It's very humid here in the summer, I can take this one out on the porch to play and not worry about it too much. Thanks again.
@@mattandconniemeek6197 On the second day, I removed the saddle and took about 0.025" off... the action is now very low, too low for a flat picker, but perfect for finger style.
@@camypeny2819 Mine shipped the day after I ordered it if I recall. Shipping was fast at the time. The guitar I ordered was in stock, I imagine it can take a while if they are backordered. My guitar has gotten better and better.... it just cannot be beat at 5x the cost.
Question for you Sir, is the sound hole as big as a Dreadnought guitar? I really want to use a Fishman sound hole pickup in this guitar.. I'm trying to find out if the sound hole is the same diameter as a dreadnought in size. Thank You for your time.
Hey Mr Tom! My Martin dread’s sound hole is 4”, while the orangewood Dana is only 3 1/2”. I’ve never used a fishman sound hole pickup, but I have used a cheap $12 one off Amazon in my little Martin (small sound hole too) and it sounds nice through a PA with a little reverb. Most of my acoustic guitars have K and K pure mini’s installed and I can’t rave about them enough. And there are other manufacturers out there that make a similar product for half the money. No battery needed, hidden and sound great. Highly recommend. Happy picking!
lol. I still need lessons myself, but thank you. And yes, I still like it. It’s not even close to the sound of some of my other acoustics, but it is just so easy to grab and go or pick up and play and still sounds good. Still a favorite in the collection. 😉

Just received my guitar an hour or two ago....... How Orangewood can do this for $125 or less is beyond me.
R. Wayne I totally agree! Hope you are enjoying it! My strings are finally mellowing out some and it sounds even better.

How long did it take your guitar to ship?

I just got one of those and it was in tune and plays like a high end guitar
Definitely beautiful guitar. Thanks for that video

Still like it? Love your pickless picking! Lesson?!

On their website they say the bridge and fretboard are 'hybrid' wood. Do you know if that is a grained or composite wood?
Mine is very much grained. Looks nice
Wow, you got a bunch of views with this unboxing.
NEVER put a guitar IN THE TRUNK OF A CAR!! Never in the Summer...
How long does it take to get to the house
I can’t really remember. Maybe a week or so ...
How was the action when you first got it?
Mine was just right for me. Low, but no fret buzz anywhere.
