Mine arrived today. What a massive improvement over the original TKL Pro. No more pinging and hollowness and the key strokes are butter smooth. Well done Turtle Beach !!
thank you for keeping up on all these keyboards and always being a reliable source of info for all these years. every single time i get the itch to look at keyboards you've got a video on the ones i want to look at. much appreciated
Wooting offers a lot more for enthusiasts which is why i don't think it's accurate to say it's "a wooting, but cheaper" 1: not nearly as good of a selection of switches. Wooting boards can use Raptor HE, Gateron Jade, lekker 45, Lekker 60, and more. 2: you can't install custom cases for it. 3: the sound is really bad, enthusiasts want thocky keyboards, and even Wooting doesn't sound nearly as good as other keyboards. 4: Wooting 60HE/80HE got lower latency.
I've already ordered the Wooting 80HE. But it's good to see more competition in the keyboard space. Great price and can you hot swap the switches? As, I see no mention of this.
ive seen lots of keyboards with rapid trigger now but this is the first one besides wooting im seeing with that analogue functionality....this is actually an impressive offering from turtle beach and it looks like they're actually listening to community feedback unlike logitech
Listen to what community feedback? If anything these brands are budget copies of the Wooting, until Wooting does something even better and then these companies will try to copy that too.
THIS KEYBOARD IS NOT LIKE A WOOTING! IT DOES NOT HAVE (SOCD) Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Direction Last Input Priority: When two opposite keys (like left and right) are pressed simultaneously, the keyboard will prioritize the last key pressed. This is feature that made Wooting keyboards popular with pro gamers.
Hopefully the software is improved. A LOT of customer reviews from all these new turtle beach products is that they are great, sound great, and feel great. But the Swarm software was terrible. Really wanted to get the Atlas Air headset and possibly a new keyboard/mouse but thats what stopped me so far. Hopefully its improving.
you can do anything and everything with those settings, mostly for mmorpg macros, or anything of the sort where you need to press A and L ctrl back to back. i would use most those features, IF i cared enough but i play for fun.
Welcome y'all, to another episode of Pimp My Keyboard! Ngl T, your keycap choice and colorway looks sick! What caps are those, BTW? Just asking for a friend... 😁 I bought this kb in anticipation of your video. But I couldn't wait, and ran it thru it's paces (Don't judge me! 🤣). Your review mirrored my experience. FYI: I also have the Steelseries Apex Pro Mini Wireless. But I've had problems with that kb when using rapid trigger, as well as dual actuation. Like you, I play Destiny 2,but I use dual actuation for walk/sprint on my W key. On the APMW, my jumps are inconsistent, making it impossible to complete the timed exotic missions. And even when not using dual actuation, the shift key is really wobbly on the Apex, which causes graphic glitches when sprinting. However, I don't have that problem with the TB kb. The only things I would've liked to see on the TB board is an all-metal case, pbt keycaps, and a metal knob. But otherwise, a great board for the money. And another on-point review by the now goateeless GOAT! 🐐
I honestly didn't feel a different in the rapid triggers once I set the default mode and RT mode to the same actuation point and I couldn't tell a difference other than RT mode locked out my Cap lock key which I use for opening the map in games, so I just stuck to default mode but overall, I really enjoy this keyboard coming from a K100 to this. Also does changing the key caps to different ones make the keyboard sound louder or no I actually find this keyboard to be pretty quiet definitely quieter than the K100 as I don't clack my keys, I just rest my fingers on the keys and press down so I don't really get much sound which I prefer. The only way to get the windows key so far as I know to stop breathing like that is to just press the function key and the windows key again and switch from game mode back to the default mode.
Can it really be called a budget Wooting if it's only 25 bucks cheaper? Drunkdeer I understand because it's almost 50 bucks cheaper, but 150 vs 175 isn't enough of a difference to call it a budget version imo.
I will never understand why they don't make wireless versions of these keyboards. Wireless technology has advanced a long time ago, so the delay on some models is imperceptible (I've been using the Razer Pro Ultra for years, and I don't see any difference compared to wired). SteelSeries also has a very limited range of wireless models. Does anyone know what the actual reason is?
Because this new technology is hard to implement into wireless without getting huge latency. (new technology=rapid trigger, analog, actuation) and plus, what is the huge reason of why you would use it?
I mean, for me I've bought a lot of wireless keyboard in the past, but I've returned to wired keyboard because for me it is the only peripheral that I don't need to be wireless. It is really pointless for my usage
@@Bard_Emancipovani that was the answer from you I was expected and I totally respect that 😄 I was searching for this kind of setup too few years ago, but I've just stopped after a while because a lot of keyboard I liked was wired only. So I've accepted this exception

That windows key lighting can means that windows key its locked. I used to unlock it by pressing left control + windows keyz one before another

Would you still recommend a Wooting 2HE as the best full size keyboard on the market rn?

have u tried hall effect keyboards like ez60/ez63? I wonder if they are worth buying
Hey techne! So are these switches the exact same as the apex pro? As the apex pro omnipoints were made with gateron??
Not sure if they are the same. But yes they feel very very similar
