  • A slideshow of my build, and first run vid. The spec of this engine is as follows... NG Motorsports CNC'd head, with Golf Ball finish, deshrouded, and multi-angle seatwork. Wossner rods and pistons 12.3:1CR, 87.5mm. Schrick 284 cams.

    I would have thought the idle would have more lump to it with that comp and 284 cams?

    what size pistons are those? also what head gasket did you use?

      carfreaks1024 the pistons are 86.75mm. I actually wanted to use 86.5, but they sent 86.75. The head gasket is standard BMW one. I think for 86.75, it’s plenty good enough. Perhaps with 87mm, a different gasket is needed, or with forced induction.

      @@mikeymike6017 im currently waiting on some 87mm pistons for my s50b32 build. How much did you remove from your head and block when resurfacing? What brand bearings did you go with?
